I always enjoy a cruise down River Rd out by New Hope.
Straights, turns, not much traffic, and always a nice view of the Delaware. Plenty of nice twisty roads that break off from it too.

Eagle Rd. and Pineville Rd. in Upper Makefield. Pineville is great! Let me know if you wanna cruise some day cause I live 2 mins from there.
the road in Jersey that runs parallel to PA's river road (208) I think it's called is very excellent. Plus some of the roads off of it are very entertaining and pretty tight.

Hmmm i cant wait to get my "new" car lol. Impreza > Crashed > Dakota > Impreza (hopefully)....im guessing nixchix have a RSX? My neighbor just got an 04 he sold his show car cougar for it
you need to go down to the peninsula down near elk neck maryland...my friend has a house down there...the roads never have any cops on them and are so little driven that its sooooo smooth...honest to god Gran Turismo track once you head down it far enough, before that, just straight cruise 120 mph+

Makefields~New Hope DOES have some nice roads. But if you want to go totally scenic and not too far away, I suggest you hit the area around Lake Nockamixon, up 611 and 563, due East of Quakertown.
It's only about 25~35 mins from our area and there are some straights you can fly through and endless hair-pins around the hilly areas surrounding the lakes. I actually was forced force to e-brake around several turns because I was approaching too fast. Some of those roads seem to change from gravel to tarmac and back with no warning. The house density is much less than around here and its absolutely beautiful to drive around.
I burned about three hours driving around up there this past Saturday, and I can't wait to back!
"... +60 over crest, hairpin left, don't cut, opens right, stay left, soft right, exposure to cliff ..." just keeps playing in my head when I think about it!
Just make sure you fill-up, 'cause gas stations are few and they seem to close early.

:iagree:
That area is awesome. I was up there in the fall, and the trees were all changing color. Super cool. The roads are a great drive, and like he said, some small back roads turn from tarmac to gravel without notice. Really is a great drive.

Hey Im his neighbor that used to have the cougar. Thanks for the complients I really loved the cougar for show but but it was a dog and automatic. Kid i sold it too had it down in Philly racing and got smoked by everyone. Anywhy i got a 05 rsx type s now and ill prob be meeting most of you guys at meets around in the spring and summer. Hell I prob know alot of people on here from there cars not by name though.
Anyway and good road is that river rd. and there are alot of roads in bucks county by the quarries(only prob they dusty from the quarry trucks) they are banked and twisty turns plus a scenic drive on top of it

Aw man if you wanna jump your car and go flying around turns I strongly agree with River Road but north past new hope theres this one turn you cant do more than 15mph aorund it like wraps around a house and has a stop sign its insane and Flower Mills Road in Langhorne is fun but it only has 1 jump heading away from lincoln hwy and its not long its like 2 minutes. and route 29 in new jersey is fun up in Frenchtown.

Chris - try Chinquapin Road. Go down Bristol, make a right at the Churchville Inn, it's about 30 seconds down on the left. That's my favorite road locally (closer than River Road), just don't take it too fast. A few blind corners, and there are houses all over. It's pretty short, but fun.

I know that road. The road that goes over the resevoir (Churville Lane) is badass too, because you can go superfast over the resevoir, no place for a cop to hide
Almshouse Road right where it runs into 611 is cool too. Not very long, but it's decently twisty and there's crazy elevation change.
if you follow swamp road past Bucks County Community College (away from newtown) there are some very nice tight roads that are mostly empty. Also, 532 from Washington's Crossing to Newtown is nice. Never any cops, just keep an eye peeled for deer.

Yeah river road is closed right near my house cause the treatment plant became flooded and now they are pumping water in from the river across the road so you cant get through. it sucks cause it takes me like 5 minutes more to get anywhere. And to think i had everything timed. 8 minutes to tims house 12 to justins 4 to erics and 10 to kelly's now my mind is all confused and $#!+

hah, yeah, this is gifford, I went to Klinger with you. I somehow recognized your screen name and asked if this was you in another thread. Annnd now I feel like a stalker or something. Currently a white Volvo V70, but I'll be getting a new car within a month.

Yeah, that bridge is nice. I've gone my fastest along the resevoir there, then you can take that straight and make a left onto Chinquapin.
And I forgot about that section of Almshouse, I love that one section of switchbacks, drove it last night.

anyway, all of the roads as mentioned before in the upper makefield area are awesome
river road and eagle road are the best, but i have navi so i just randomly turn down any of the side roads
since i can't really get lost
they all bring u out to taylorsville or river road anyway haha so it doesn't matter

Man, you guys are missing all the real roads to drive on around here. River Road sucks. It always has to much traffic. Best tip, follow River Road more North past New Hope, find a small backroad, haul arse down it. All the roads here pop out somewhere that will get you back to where you need to be.

There is a road that i was just on i know that you get off at the new hope exit on 95 and going north when you get to the bottom of the exit make a left and make a left on the road that says bomans tower its a few miles from 95 and go up that road for a mile or so and turn down this straight road where you can get mad speed and then when you get to the stop go straight and then at the next right turn there aand there is this crazy road there with hills and turns its nuts you got to be careful the one hill you go up and it looks like your gonna go off the road down a cliff but it makes a sharp left thats a scarry road. Have fun.

I live in Norristown aka $hitville, so if I want nice, unbusy roads I usually head up towards Green Lane/East Greenville. Nice wide-open roads, smooth pavement and very few cops. But beware of the mullets, they aren't very fond of hip hop music or jap cars, esspecially ones with louder than stock exhaust.

Well.. if you want some REALLY hot roads with SERIOUS SERIOUS incline changes and curves, I could take a group to my favorite long stretch of fun road..
You know its good when sport bikes come from all over to run it!
If you guys want me to put together something let me know.. It takes about an hour from Philly to get out there.. But its well worth it..

How about we plan something out in July.. that way it give us time to finish up small projects...
I will post something up.. I am going to limit participation though..
May be one of those things that the meeting spot and time will be disclosed the night before etc.
15 cars max! Any more and it just makes it dangerous.. These roads are kick arse though.. Its not just one or two miles. Its no tail of the dragon but it definately is a challenging fun set of roads..

Nice roads in PA??!?!? Last road I was on ripped my car to shreds on the front end. It's hard to find a nice, smooth, flat surface in my area. Street Road is pretty much tore to crap, York Road is even worse, and 2nd Street Pike/Huntingdon Pike have some nice big potholes a' brewin'.

There's a yacht sized patch in front of my section from the last pothole that grew overnight. I bottomed out on it. Front facsia, and a nice, loud, resonator scrape. That SUCKED. No damage though.
Rt. 30 up by Coatseville has a really really really smooth section right at the merge from 202. Glass smooth.

It sure is fun to scare the crap out of people flying down it and over that hill. Then they think the road is ending. Pretty funny to watch their faces.
