Ok 99% of the meets I've been to have been without my z with me. Reason being I break trannies like its my job. Well evertime I replace them myself no problem, untill now. I'm pretty much at my wits end with this situation as I'm about to explain.
So this last tranny I put it had some issues with the shift linkage which I couldn't for the life of me fix and some problems I couldn't even figure out. So I take it to a mechanic who I "trust". Well the jerkoff up and sells the business and leaves my car with the new owner. So I'm like wtf its been like 3 weeks and nothings fixed and now this guys gone!!? I don't have any estimate or anything because I've known this guy for a long time and never needed anything nor had any problems.
So the new guys like ok give me a week ill have it all squared away and we will talk price then. I'm like that's fine ill call you in a week. So a week and a half goes by and I give the guy a call, just to give him a few more days. Well low and behold its not done, this happens 2 more times with promise dates of when it will be done. So the last time I call and ask if they have any idea when its gonna be done....in a very nice way might I add. Well the owners is like, I can ask the guy you'll have to give me a few minutes. Then he proceeds to tell me that he didn't buy this problem(my car) when he bought the business. At this point I'm appalled yet calm. I'm like that's not very business like and that we have a verbal binding agreement. Then I also stated there's no problem I'm just trying to figure out when the car is going to be done. So he tells he will call me back in a few days with a def answer of when the car will be done. I thanked him and repeatedly told him that I wasn't trying to be rude its just my car has been there over 2 months now. So we hung up and I felt better about the situation.
Well the mechanic calls me the next day and tells me they can't fix it and to pick it up. I'm pretty much fed up with the situation and this is the reason I despise mechanics for the most part. So two months later and the car is fubared.
Ok now I know I don't have a leg to stand on. My question is who can I trust to fix my car now. anyone will do no matter how far I have aaa I just want my car back. Thanks for reading my rant(something I never do).
