Just got the finishing touches on my "Turbotek Stage 1" tune on my 2007 STI - the guy is a magician. I'd met Ray before and had gotten to know him; friendly, conversational, but wimpy in hot weather (just hacking on ya, dude)....but when he gets into the car and flips open the laptop, it's ALL business.
He took his time, did it right, we did some fairly extensive road tuning, more than what I'd seen with other tuners - he tailored the tune to the way I drive, and just didn't throw an off-the-shelf map at it and call it good.
He also locked in on MY car like he had blinders on, instead of trying to do 14 things at once and increasing the chance of an error or something being overlooked.
The car pulls like a freight train, is much smoother on acceleration than stock, and the power is seamless. Not that I condone that sort of tomfoolery, but I'll be looking for ****y yuppies in Corvettes and Porsches so they can get laid away by an old bald guy in one of them there Japanese 4 doors.
The guy's a pro, he's reasonable, and professional - highly recommended.
I can't wait to get my downpipe and go for Turbotek Stage 2....
