Alright so I found an Astro Mark III Conversion near me that I plan on buying within the next few months of saving. I have a small list of mods I plan on doing to it and being quite new to customizing I wanna see some opinions on the items I want to put into it. I know it's early to be putting together a mod list bc of money and what not but I'm trying to see what I'm looking forward to.
1 extra van battery to run the extra electronics.
(though is there a way to keep everything running without having the car on, thus far preventing the battery from draining?)
Stereo System (I read reviews but i wanna see what ya'll think if i'm spending too much on it or somethings you think i have too much of or what i should switch off for another item.)
(2) 12" MTX Audio Thunder4500 T41512-44 Sub woofers
(1) JBL GTO 755.6 Amplifier (to power solely the speakers and tweeters)
(1) JBL CS300.1 Sub Mono-Amp (to power just the subs)
(2) Pioneer TS-T110 Tweeters (placed on the passenger and driver side doors)
(6) Clear and good quality speakers (2 in front 4 in back) --I'm not sure which brand or model I should get, it all seemed so hard to choose.
Custom Mods
Xbox 360 w/ wireless adapter
21-27" HDTV Flat Panel Monitor
Bookcase to hold games/dvds
7" Motorized DVD/CD/MP3 Player Head Unit
Lime Green Led Computer fans mounted behind the ac vents
Micro ATX File Server to hold all of my movies for easy access play on the tv.
2 Captain Chairs in the way back with the middle seats removed
Racing Harnesses added for the two front seats (ideas on comfortable brands?)
Cherry Bomb Exhaust (bc they sound so sexy)
(Here is the hardest one for me): Getting the windows to slide sideways manually (like in school buses, but not up and down but side to side. ) If anyone knows someone who could do this or some kind of kit i could buy let me know.
Of course to finish off I wanna put down some nice cushy carpeting (not sure on shag because of the cleaning factor)

anyone have any ideas for the speakers or opinions on the stuff I chose? I haven't heard any of these in action and am wondering if anyone could tell me if there's a better alternative.

bump.
I wouldn't wait a 'few months' to buy it. They are pretty hard to come by so pick it up now before it sells. Sounds awesome though!

hmm...how hard do you think it would be to pull off a 5800 dollar loan from the bank?

dude.......it sound awesome. very 70s-ish. i would probably go for the a-team look myself. bubble windows, jack the rear up, paint it jet black with a red stripe down the side........doesnt get better than the ****in a-team.

ok after throwing on a few episodes of the a-team im going to keep my current plans, but putting on a phantom grille, a full brush guard, and that cool visor thing on the windshield lol.
i am definitely going to buy it and am probably going to be working 3 jobs to get it. lol anyone have any other cool ideas?

I would also look into some good dynomatting to reduce any rattles or bad acoustics. I would talk to a pro installer as to where you would want to put it though. Also, possibly look into geting a small automotive mini fridge for drinks or such as that would be a nice addition.

i was thinking about that but im worried about having to unplug it every single time i turn off my car to prevent it from draining my battery. i can't seem to find any alternatives. it seems ill have to keep my car running to chill in the back and watch tv, and to chill the drinks.

Well, the electronics need to get power from somewhere. A battery or battery set is good but they will have a time limit involved to them and you will need an alternator strong enough to support all of your new gadgets while the car is on as well as recharge your batteries.

Mmm what I dont understang is... you need to take out a 5800 dollar loan to afford the car... where is the money coming for all these mods? Looks like you will be stuck with a stock van for quite some time lol.

i put the mod list together so i could see everything i wanted to do and add on what id think is cool, as well as pricing out early so i know exactly how much to save up. in all honesty it may be like 1g worth of parts so its not too bad. that and im not going to be able to buy the 5800 van, since hes putting it on ebay.
@PrimerSuspect
thanks for keeping a lookout for me, if he's not selling it ask how much he'd take for someone willing to buy it.
