hey guys i was referred here by someone. hoping to meet some new people in the central jersey area. i drive a red gti 1.8t with all bolt-ons... anyways just saying whats up!

yes i signed up :cool: but i don't have any pics cause my computer is a dinosaur and it can't handle my digi cam lol but anyways i was actually thinking about selling the car cause the tranny went... and it def shouldn't have gone at 27 thousand miles :thumbdow:

they denied me mainly because of the chip... so ive decided im just gonna throw a lsd and a beefier clutch on there :thumbup:

What chip and why did u remove before going back in
ps call vwona and complain beacsue of a chip they can not deny a tranny no way.

yea i should but it gives me an excuse to put the other parts in along with cryo treating the gears and stuff

did you have the GIAC chip???? that is going to be my next mod....(soon hopefully).....anyway, yeah S4toSti is right....they have to prove that the chip mod is the cause of your tranny going....you have EVERY bolt on? or just a couple bolt ons? I dont know how the 1.8 liter stock trannys hold up, that is why im asking

Hey i say anything but nuespeed is good ur gonna go threw awe right. Those tranny's should be pretty good did u blwo the clutch or flywheel too??

i have an APR chip and i have every bolt on. the tranny on most 1.8t's are not that strong however the 20th anniversary has a much better trans. my clutch is still good but im gonna swap it out while i could to save some money. if you decide to go with GIAC i think you are making a good choice :thumbup:
