West German BMW had one as of a week or two ago. I believe it was purchased from West German Motors and serviced there. Single owner car from what I remember, too. I would highly recommend avoiding WG BMW for service though.

How can people not know what a BMW 2002 is? This blows my mind. Its probably one of the most famous cars ever built.

It was one of the better driver's cars of that area, it was one of the few beemers that didn't get luxoed out. Also, it was one of the first modern European production cars to have a turbo (73-74ish) before Porsche and Saab started integrating them. I've seen a couple swaps done with E21 and E30 era powerplants under the bonnett.

If you go to the restorable treasures section they have 2 for sale.

So i didnt really get to completely look at the car like the trunk cause i had wanted to check the rust on the shock towers but i might just buy that car for parts anyways for like $200.

the swap idea doesnt appeal to me as much, i like the idea of keeping it original, especially with a tii.
i guess the blue one is that blue/gray one above? it is a bit more money but it sounds like its better than the average with a fresh motor and lots of other upkeep and money put into it. i dont know pricing on this stuff but it seemed like it might be worth it. is he willing to move on price at all? i just know a good condition tii isnt easy to come by...

He said he's firm unless we were talking in cash. I seriously want the Tii. It was fast. Only problem it had was the windows weren't sealing properly on the weather stripping in the back and it whistled as it went faster. Besides that and some minor surface underbody rust it looked good.

oh, my ****ing god at the tube car. That things is so sick. i wonder what his reserve is
Also, does anyone know why people angle the gauges like that? Is it so that you can set it up that all the needles point up when all is good?

Wouldn't have a clue about the gauges, but that does seem like some good logic. Shame its only a 1602, but its still the same body shape.
