Go AMS, now bushur has to step up.

They have something planned for they're black drag car. Dave said it just came out of the shop after 2 weeks of work and they're already replacing suspension parts with lighter fabricated pieces in house. Since AMS has a carbon roof, trunk, hood and more weight savings on there car, it seems like buschurs putting there car on more of a diet to compete.

Buschur only needs to make one adjustment..

The best thing about the run is that it was AMS's only run of the night and they shattered buschurs record by 2/10ths.

Anyone can build a car to go fast in a straight line these days. I am more impressed with AMS' time attack cars.

Yes, anyone can. That's why all other kinds of people have done this.

Very impressive!

Anyone with money can build that same car and drive it in a straight line. Big deal. A fast DSM was impressive before there was 40 running under the 10 second mark.

....

obviously doesn't know the difference between a 10 second pass and an 8 second pass. If you can't realize the obvious difference, there is no way in hell I can explain it.

PaleDSM

Haha, I realize the difference. Notice I said under the 10 second mark which INCLUDES times FASTER then 10s. Including cars like Shep, Marsh, Glaser, Wegman, ets. I have been a DSMer for 12 years and the community has been firmly rooted in drag racing since it's inception. I doubt you are going to teach me much of anything when it comes to DSMs and drag racing.

Perhaps you are used to dealing with 16 yr old, narrow minded, inexperienced car guys and girls from this board. I base my opinion above on experience and knowledge of what is involved. I have been involved with drag based AWD platforms since the mid 90s. It has gotten old to me.

Great, you should realize the difficulty of running 8's in those buckets since you have been around them for 12 years.

Honestly, if running 8's in a sedan with a 5-speed on nothing but turbo isn't **** then why comment in the first place?

Speaking of the evo vs wrx shootout, just about an hour ago AMS unloaded there drag car from the trailer and ran 8.564 @168.6Mph so congrats to AMS for braking there own record not even 2 weeks after setting the new one. I'll post the vid ASAP.

Did anyone read the article in Modified stating that the AMS time attack car possibly set the record for any closed wheel vehicle at a Canadian road course? Now that gets my panties wet. They were stating that it may have been faster then the Formula Ford cars on the same track.

that thing only did a 1.51 60' hell my car did a 1.55 before. i'd be willing to BET they go faster than 8.5 with a better 60'. 1.51 is a joke in that car. probably scared to break it

agreed, brandon cut a 1.4xx on drag radials on his wway to a 10.9. im not hating just saying there has to be a better 60' in that car.

I'm sure the car has more 60' in it BUT..

They probably have 2 options 1 launch hard and spin but be in the powerband, or 2 launch soft, dont spin and have to spool the turbo up to the 330'. They likely need more tire or a better suspension setup.

I seriously doubt the driveline can take 700 ft/lbs all out launch with some grip from a dig..They do not launch it hard for a reason..

It can absolutely take more then a 1.51 though

Well yeah, there are stock turbo evo's cutting better short times then that I think..But with over 1000whp I'm sure breaking stuff trying to get a good launch gets old quick..It can absolutely take more then a 1.51 though
