i had mine done at bimmerworks in west chester. Steve Snow. He did a great job on mine, and it was CHEAP. www.bimmerworks.com They do different types of alignments, autocross alignment, regular...pretty much however you want the car to handle, he will set it up that way for you. BTW he races auto x with his mini cooper s

A rack can be pricey, and comes with some hassles.. But I am pretty sure there are vendors that do, they probably just don't check this section.

I told the alignment place that once (the only one in the area that had a rack that my car would roll-up on, and they charged me over $200 (the hidden rate for a "lowered car", which I later flipped out on them about since they told me an alignment was $40 when I made the apointment).

Before the alignment my car didn't pull at all, afterwards, the car was terrible. Even though I told them "toe to zero, or as close as possible," they instead did it as close as the could to factory specs, which add toe, and kill tires.

Make sure they know how to go beyond the specs printed out for them for your car from the factory. That bimmerworks place sounds good.

How cheap is cheap?

I did my own toe and camber alignment on my evo. I haven't tried caster yet, but I have a very good idea that should work.

Before you attempt any of this make sure your car is completely level and you are at your static alignment. Floor tiles are good to use because it can increase height at each corner in small measurements. By static alignment I mean drive your car onto the surface and have your steering wheel straight and not move it for a couple feet as you are stopping the car.

For Camber:

Use a level, measuring tape and basic trig to set your degree of camber. Use a piece of wood to increase the size of your level if you need to. Remember, All measurements should be taken from the edge of the rim, not your tires!

Toe:

Tie a ~20 foot piece of string between two jack stands. Pull the string taunt several inches away from your wheels. Measure from the center caps to the string and make the string parallel to your car. Measure the distance from the front most part of your rim to the string, then measure from the rear most part of your rim to the string.

I have a very good idea for the caster. That would require a plum bob, drywall square, chalk line and maybe a protractor. I am not posting it up though until I have tried and proven it myself.
