what is open source? That's not Ecutek, right?

So your final numbers you stuck with were 290whp, right? The 300whp wasn't safe or something?

open source is free ECU tuning software. thats free - no cost for a liscense.
Its gaining popularity & as you can see, you can get the same results with open source as opposed to EcuTek or Cobb Pro-tune

We kept the 290 WHP tune as the final.

between 10Whp & 10Wtq, i'd rather have the torque.

That's great Andy does OS tunes... people should take advantage of that. I'll be keeping it in mind for sure.

40 whp gain over the OTS map is pretty awesome, I'd be stoked. Congrats!!

Ha,

I think ill be ok w/ my stock trans. the trans is the only reason I didnt go with a larger turbo.

For a REAL daily driver, 300whp is all i need.

I have a 93 RX-7 and am looking for a dyno. Where is Andy located? How do you contact him?

Try PM'ing him through here. He normally responds within a day or 2. Or just go to the website, get the number and give them a call.

Heres more proof that the Cobb OTS maps are a conservative..and for good reason...but still....perfect example why you should let someone...(Andy) massage your ecu a bit more....

Blue was Stage 2 OTS map - Stock Turbo

I dont know if i would call sub 10 afr a conservative tune. I've been saying this for years cobb maps run pig rich on most cars and NEED a retune.

They are conservative in that yes, they run pig rich, but run a conservative amount of timing and boost so as to avoid dealing with detonation issues.

If I sold OTS maps I would make the rich as well. The more power you draw out of them the more people blow their **** up and the more they cry when it does and the more they want to point fingers.

BTW great numbers Fred. I'm getting tuned by Andy on July 10th and I can't wait.

i see on the read out that the first run the humidity was at 60 and then the last run it was at like 20. will that make you have a higher hp number?
