I picked the game up today for XBOX 360 and I have to say, hands down it is the greatest racing game I have ever played. The graphics are great, they have over 300 cars and tons of courses. In the garage, you can do just about anything you can think to tune or upgrade your car. Career mode is amazing, it starts out by asking you what region you want to play in: the USA, Europe or Asia. I chose Asia and immediately bought the Nissan Silvia K's, aka the S14.

I hear there are only 12 tracks to race on...to me, thats a letdown, but maybe they have 12 tracks and different variations of each..at least I hope thats how it is. gamespot gave it a 9.2, im waiting for gametrailers to come out with a hd review for it so I can see the graphic quality

I think the gameplay is decent.. and the graphics look pretty good on my 60" TV.
I have the Force feedback steering wheel. The game is a blast to drive.
I am happy to sacrifice graphics for a better driving simulator and more options...
Grand Turismo can't even hold a candle.. Unless of course your racing style is one that is spent mostly off the road.

BTW if you want graphics play the dirt demo.

Although, these graphics look fine to me... and the Japanese have been going crazy with custom designs.

I pre-ordered a copy from best buy, and went yesterday to pick it up, well what a crock, NO BestBuy in my area had them. I returned my pre-order and went to EB games to pick it up.

As far as the actual game, I love it. I feel that ther has been a good improvement on how the car feels and handles. The graphics, although not 1080p are still great. I'm sure i will find myself glued to this for quite some time.

Picked it up yesterday morning but didn't get a chance to play it. I've never been into the simulator games like GT so it's taking a little getting used to. So far though it's a blast. On the white Silvia in the first pic, isn't that the old playstation logo on the back?

No.. I am not sure what it is.. but I think you see it when you are sitting in the multi player menu.... I have seen it a few other places somewhere else.

I am currently driving an all black Eclipse GT, with everything imaginable. It has 520 HP and it is a rocket. If you have Live, you might see it up on the auction house soon.:wink:

Forza 2 FTW, hands down best racing sim out there. not as easy to pick up and play as say PGR3 or games like NFS carbon, but much more rewarding in the end as the physics are spot on. cars sound more realistic when modded then in origional forza, V8's actually sound like V8's (at least on the GTO anyway) and my little ecotec solstice sounds alot like a real ecotec motor with exhaust. My only gripe with the game is that there is no more drag strip. I had a pretty good time setting up certain cars for drag racing and now its gone :( at least they put some more effort into drifting this time around, its a little more do-able than in the origional forza

question...when you install a turbo kit, and then do a front mount intercooler there are 2 stages of it..the street and race one. does the intercooler actually show up on the front of the car or is it invisible? if it shows, is the race one bigger than street? im already putting out too much power with the crx so I dont know if I want to boost it or not. maybe i upgrade tire compound first

most of the insane customization comes in vynil form...there arent many body kits, spoilers, and wheels to pick from...wheels are on the up side cause there are quite a few, but still...no mugen wheels or nothing that ive found

i've seen some with custom caracters and what not, and in the marletplace i've seen that you can download themes or load artclips... (it's one of the options in the vynly area) I imagine you should be able to load your own art clips, i mean being that you can load your own soundtracks and all? SOOO much to be learned....

As with all racing simulators these days, american muscle gets shafted when it comes to making power. Seriously, I can't supercharge a GTO, why the **** not?!?

LOL. Being a game and all you would think so.....BUT then again, if they are trying to be real...the compression in the new GTO's is high so supercharging would be tough BUT still possible....

You can paint the SRT-4 w/e color you want. Might have to get kinda creative on the hood though, there arent any custom options for that.

yea i've done them in GT4, on the b spec mode. In forza it looks like you can hire a driver to do them for you? don't know if that whole drivatar from forza 1 is still there or not?

yeah the bad thing about the driver is that they basically earn all the money. there are different level drivers based on skill, like level 1 will take 60% of the earnings, level 2 will take 70% of the earnings and so on so it kinda defeats the purpose

I dont own an xbox 360 but i been playin at my buddies and i have to say, GREAT game, SICK graffics, CRAZY amounts of mods, swaps and shop cars.

For those complaining about the shop cars having ghey graffix on them, you can use vynil to cover them and make the car just one color. For example, we made the abflug supra all white and switched the wheels to volks and the car went from loooking like ish to looking very very sleek.

the menu comes up that says "continiue, retry, etc." its in there...I pulled some really nice drifts in the clip v6 rs w/o traction and stability control :)

I'm a big GT4 fan (eagerly awaiting GT5) but this latest Forza definitely looks "the business." I'll have to pick up a 360 earlier than expected (I was gonna wait 'till Halo 3.):)

We unlocked the Top Secret Supra and its the 0-300km/h rb2x (i think its stroked and not a 2.6l anymore) powered one...so SICK.

yeah, watch the videos on youtube with it...

i played the demo at home and i can BARELY drift with any of the cars... i'd imagine it would have a huge learning curve tho...

not really any latency between the wheel and the game(well nothing noticeable to me), but I'd suggest adjusting the dead zones when you do pick a wheel up the controls felt somewhat better after I changed a few things

You have to turn every thing off but the ABS that is how I drift and it's just like real life well once I get the wheel!

yeah i only popped it in like 4 times for a grand total of 15 minutes but i was initiating the drift, getting 1/4th of the way into the turn and then realize i was going 20 mph...

i got the best weight redux i cant get the car to stop breaking the wheels loose and i have all of the suspension upgrades. i gota change something cause i cant keep the damn thing in a straight line

That was my problem. Off the line the car spun til 2nd. Around corners, once it built boost the tires would just cook and the ass end would kick out. Im playing with TCS off and Tire/Gas on. Not fun with that car. Once I switched the stock motor in with the turbo I shot to a high 800 A class. Thing handles on rails now.

In forza 2 when you take a pic it asks if you want to upload it, I usually do, and then i post the pic from there. Not sure what everyone else is doing, but thats what I do.

you can take as many as you want, but i think the forza server only holds 5 or 6 per gamertag so take some and save them to the pc, and so on and so forth

A) I drew the picture.. It is about 150 layers of shapes that you have to shrink, stretch, skew, rotate.. That took me about 2 hours, but I am getting much quicker at it. I created it on the roof of the car section by section and then pieced it all together. I am working on the bottom part later.

B) I only have about 2 stickers left (out of the 5 that I got). Some of the guys on vwvortex might have more. I know he had a box of 100+ and had a ton left when I got mine.

well in the later races theres requirements for no mods, all of the factory spec races, the endurance races i lapped twice over and iirc i could only use a class c car...

the first time you lap someone you get a cobra-r lol...

today i'll try putting my class car at the bottom of the ranking and see how i do... the games a lot of fun, i play on full difficulty...

edit; the more i think about it i cant even used the max'd out cars, i usually wind up down grading them to meet specs.

i do test drives with it on to see whats going on.

i think i 've watched it during a replay too but i dont remember....

i've thrown it on test drive at nissan speedway and just take turns slowly or quickly to watch the weight shift... for endurance runs you want to make sure your not unevenly wearing the tires out, or wearing them out too quickly....

200mph head with a raised suspension on with an R1 car.. I hit it square on the wheels of the r1 and ramped off the fenders. I tried it 3 more times and couldn't get the same height.. If I had to guess how high.. I would say about 70 feet.

well its all the same hardware that the screenshots come from, regardless of what screen resolution your using - it's how we save em, the one i put a few pages back was ****ty compressed hosting, and i didnt save it in high res jpg format...

It has to do with the TV you are on. If your on a HDTV with 1080i It will look like that. If your on a Slandered Tv it will look like that.
It takes a "screen shot" that is why it has to do with the Tv you are on.
