I didn’t make it to Absolute’s yesterday but was planning on hitting Atco next Thursday the 14th with “Philly Boy” with his rex and my mechanic and his STI. If the tuning doesn’t work out for you I should be at Atco Thursday.

I’m not sure yet if I’m free this Tuesday the 12th… I’ll know in a couple of days.

HAHA- it's true! I feel the need...

If tuning doesn't work out I probably won't go to the track again until I do get tuned... but i was actually vascillating between Tuesday and Thursday (sometimes Thurs is better due to less (/no?)gamblers... i guess i'll wait and see what the weather report is going to be... so far i've seen 91 DEGREES for monday and tuesday... ugh...
well, i'm flexible- i guess we'll get'er figured out early in the week... :wiggle:

I want to do baseline runs before I install stuff, but if tomorow's anything like today it's way too hot. I'd like to see the local DSMs run, but I'll see. I've never gone to Atco from Belmar, e-town is closer.

Friend's birthday is today, so no Atco for me. Keep posting whenever you go to Atco, especially the wagons, it'd be cool for some TST-ers to be there for my first runs at the track.

here's what the deal is... i'm not happy...
ok folks... things are not happy in wagon ville- long story short i'm getting CEL's for misfires... apparently stock txs maps are known to create problems (i.e.; blowing coilpacks, like i did on the dyno) because of changes in degrees of timing that the cp's can't keep up with. something was not right w/the car tonight- even though it was hot and humid, and i got a bad launch, i should have done a LOT better than 14.9 :(
got a better launch, ran another freaking 14.9.
adjusted boost, ran a 14.5.
so chad thinks that the two weeks that i had the car onthe stock map, it might have messed with the plugs/coilpacks... hence the problems tonight (they might be just ready to go)
SOOO he rechecked the map, says it's not that... suggested to change the plugs, and check the coilpacks, and go from there.
so, tonight i'm pretty pissed, frustrated, dissapointed, and worried...

what happened to 64coupe? saw him run and looked like he might've broken something- but then later on i saw him running again, so i guess it wasn't that serious...
how'd everyone else do?

Nice meeting you Ashley. Once again sorry to hear you didn't get the times you expected but like I said when you really start to get into serious modding (aftermarket ecu) things are bound to not work out right the first time. Keep working at it and I am sure you will be running 13's in no time at all!

Something was wrong with his carburator. He fixed it and bumped up the timing and went 14.14 and then a 13.92. Best time the car ever ran. He bogged a little off the line too so hopefully he can pull 13.8s next time out.
