My dad's 2004 Allroad 2.7T is finally out of warranty and now he's interested in upping the power. I want to learn as much about this engine as I can; weak points, the hp limits of various components, etc. I'd also like advice on the best stage 1 ecu. Reliability and engine longevity are more important than anything else, as he wants to go faster but doesn't want to blow his engine. I looked briefly over some, GIAC, APR, and MTM, and I liked the APR the best as it seemed to have the beefest mid-range torque and my dad uses that more than anything else (he once said to me "5000 rpms is too much!").

So any good websites and/or personal experiences/knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys, I'll check those out. I'm looking in Revo tuning, they seem have the most turbo friendly upgrade from what I've read.

For technical articles and info, Audiworld with out a doubt.

While the format is old and confusing, the wealth of knowledge there can't be beat.
