thanks for the info guys i'm gonna start reading up on my b5 passat and what the hell does b5 stand for anyways lol if anyone wants to throw in there 2 cents then go right ahead i'm all ears

In the time i spent reading the VW forums i picked up that you have a B5 passat w/ 150hp 1.8t. In 2001 VW introduced the B5.5 passat w/ the 180 hp 1.8t and some 2500 design changes. And all VW and Audi's have a corresponding letter and number to signify thier model and year. I for instance have a Mk IV golf.
