not a joke, it's real and pretty hot. I would rock it, of course it would take my whole check every week to keep it insured lol.

extremely impressive and entertaining....but....650 hp is an attainable number for the 2.0 direct injected one they got in it stock...so.....why then? ok ok to be different i get it, but its v dub, they make the damn car in house....gimme a call when a euro tuning comp makes one, not the home team.....then ill be impressed

it's a 12 cylinder mid engine car, yet again it's not just about the numbers. Imagine how it must handle with that weight distribution.

eh, its still a freaking wiring/driving/mechanical nightmare after a few thousand.

that is killer... it looks fantastic...

now for dodge to slip a viper engine in a caliber
and chevy to put a vette engine in a cobalt
and ford to put a GT engine (or the 500KR engine) into a focus..

I love when companies put huge engines in little tiny cars...

Cool idea, but not impressed with the numbers.

Cool idea, but not impressed with the numbers.

so 0-60 in 3.7 seconds isn't impressive?
a top speed of 202 mph isn't impressive?

turn the ****ing boost up if you're not impressed... :screwy:

who the hell isnt impressed with 650hp from the factory? thats as much as an enzo. and do you realize how much they'll be able to be modded since they're TT stock? its to bad they'll never make it, but its just insane to think about.

No no no no, The times it post up are great, (I can't achieve them), It's just for a car that won't get built, it would have be cool to see them squeeze out any and all horsepower out of it. In a day and age where everyone and there mother can have a 1000 hp supra, lower then that doesn't impress me horsepower wise. I think the internet turned me into a horsepower freak. I look at these cars and go straight to the horsepower rating and then go eh:cry: , but then I go to the rest of the stats and realize how fast it really is. I like the balanced cars better, but for an article like this I like the dyno queen numbers, it puts a smile on my face.

hp doesn't matter so much with these kind of cars... just think about all the engineering and custom hand fabrication work that went into putting a W12 into the back of a GTI, converting it to RWD, getting air to the engine, etc. It's incredible.

The factory generally doesn't go for dyno queens, they go for engineering marvels.... would a normal speed shop be able to put in the effort to acomplish something on this level?

I don't like GTI's...or VW's in general... but this GTI is one that I would LOVE to get a ride in

not really a "huge" engine....

think more along the lines of a V10 with two wheels secured to it...

or an MGB with a 427...
