View Full Version : Megan Manifold?

I hear alot of bad things about the MR manifold for the Evo. I guess they are cracking alot. Anyone have this happen? Feedback please.

I am running the MR mani untill I can send my stocker to BR to be coated/ported then reinstalled. Once I get my stocker back I will sell the MR.

ive havent heard of too many megan manifolds cracking, i mean ive heard of it but not an epidemic of it or anything, i was just going to pick one up off some guy on evom...but he keeps dicking around so i guess i wont

The megan unit WILL crack over time as will all cheap tubular manifolds. A ported stocker makes more power than every manifold on the market exept for the Full Race unit which cost $900+. There is no reason not to do the ported stocker unless you want to keep buying new manifolds just to keep your engine bay looking good.

I have heard some people say they crack really quick and some people say they have had them a long time with no problems at all.

IMO you can get away with it for a while, I wouldn't go on any x,000 mile trips with it though

The ones that crack really quickly are the people that DD and race their cars. People that have an evo as a weekend car and don't race it (waste of an Evo if you ask me) might not have it crack for a while, but it's bound to happen.

i too have it, and its so far so good. Im also waiting to send my stocker to buschur. I think the stocker ported and jet coated+ ARC exhaust mani cover= sex

Exactly my setup I plan to run! It will go nice with my ARC Induction box. I will be selling the MR shortly.
