welp, ive gone as far as to consider it... so i figure i might as well share it with you guys... im considering trading in my car on an 07 limited... i havent been in one yet so i hope to do that ASAP and see if i like it... there are benefits and downfalls to both...

my car:
26,xxx miles
typical suspension clunk
typical sti blue and black interior
no sunroof
and the big wing.. which i LOVE.
worth about 4 grand less than i owe on it.

limited:
1355 miles
black int. with leather seats
sunroof
aux audio in
hasnt had time to develop the suspension clunk
costs roughly $35,000

now, if i do end up going with the limited... i would strip down my car to stock... and put all that stuff on the new car. with the exception of maybe the bushings... because the new owner deserves that haha... so yea... what do you guys think?

i thought u got rid of ur sti?

haha, no that was a hoax.

i havent seen enough PROVEN dyno's of 07's making that much more power

im just saying Limited cause i was in one, they also have a front lip kit right?

but the interior is awsome, and the sunroof is always a big plus, but i am a sucker for the STi spolier so i would have to have one of them put on

they do make a bit more power and have longer gears which is nice. and to top it off, philadelphia craigslist has an UGM Limited with 1300 miles FS for $29.5k! i was tempted myself. in fact if it was white I would have contacted him for sure...

To me the pros are that the wing will be gone and the lower mileage is a plus. The Cons are that the new seats are leather and you'll slide around more while racing and it doesn't help that the STi seats could already use some extra bolstering (spelling?).

I think it's kind of nuts, honestly. Can you tell us how much more you'd be spending, total, on the Limited? Then equate that to what you could put into your STi and where your car would then be. I think you could get rid of that suspension clunk and "boring" interior if they bother you enough, and still have money left over :) Not to mention being more original than any Limited.

Yo Troll, chill on the regular tip. He's all about the satin white jumpoff. Gotta stay exclusive in his finding's, price is last in this case.

Hey man you should of told me you were thinking about this. I have a nice sawzall , ill come over and hook you up with a sweet sun roof and then when we are done that I know of a dairy farm not to far away , we can use the same sawzall to get your leather. The sawzall is infact the greatest tool ever invented :) We can put my old boombox in the back seat and buckle it in, it has all the AUX in you could ever need!

I say get the limited. If you have the money, and as Renegade just linked, those car's have leet heads for one thing, and another... they are just damn sweet. :)

That's cool and all, but I feel like people get way too hopped up over the torque numbers from Limited. Yeah it's awesome, yeah they're finally getting to the point where Subaru's can make BPU power as easily as Evo's, but to me it's a little over hyped.

Plus, with the cost difference for buying the new car you could have a nice SZ or GT series setup that would walk all over the Limited.

I understand if it's because of things like leather, a little exclusivity, the trans, or just the allure of a newer car... but for power it seems silly. Oh well, not my choice, and with either car I'm still jealous.

The only issue is the acceleration hesitation/bucking that the 07's are experiencing.
