I have a 96 dakota that i have to put a heater core in..to do this i have to disconnect the ac fittings just outside the firewall...i pulled the clips off and tried to pull them apart and they wont budge..what do i need to do?
Ps: the system is not charged.

you will probably need a disconnect tool to separate the lines. this is a cheap set you can find at a lot of automotive stores. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?search=true&item_ID=11208&PartNo=act1370&group_id=1445&supersede=&store=snapon-store&tool=all

damn i forgot the name. i remember removing a line off a diesel but i forgot the name of the coupler that fits over the line and all u do is push the tool into the fitting and then pull the line and tada, its off.

I picked up the tool for $5. Pretty simple once you know what you are doing...damn this thing was a pain...i would rather swap a motor anyday
