Who should I go with GReddy or Turbonetics?
ps theres a thread in the PA section that id like those of you who live here to anser
Probably turbonetics, because greedy is an adjective.

lol i do know the turbonetics kit gives higher HP gain but wasnt sure if it was necessarily safer

if you're going to post a thread like this and hope to get any valuable info, please post the following info:
what car?
what is the setup you plan to run?
what are you looking to get out of it?
which of the many turbonetics or greddy turbos?
not sure if you're just in a mood to start new threads or what, i'm a little perplexed. i'm going to move this to honda tech and hope for the best though...

ya Chr!s is right full race>any other kit, even if its too expensive do atleast full-race manifold, and downpipe, you can get IC piping made and do Tial wastegate and BOV.

Buy a nice manifold and do a custom kit, get a garret turbo and you are good, I never liked turbonetics....

ya i like full-race manifolds and downpipes, and deff do a garrett GT series turbo.

3g's for a race proven, r&d designed, and professional developed turbo kit that has nearly 100% satisfaction with their clients... or you could piece together a turbo kit that you researched. :)

ok new subject while im thinking about it.
MTF (Manual Transmission Fluid) does it have to be Honda Genuine Fluid? i want good smooth stuff, but not thin that it will kill my tranny. i want it to be smoother but not so smooth that my tranny would die faster than if i used Honda Genuine Stuff

Turbonetics is now fairly proven and they back their **** with a 1 year no hassle warranty.

How much power do you want to make? Do you want a fast street car with occasional track use? Do you want something with relatively fast spool? What engine are you working with?

just a h22 vtec. and i want to just have that power there all the time so i dont have to rev the piss out of my engine to get moving

Then you probably want a smaller turbo, probably the greddy kit. Greddy kits don't make the most power, but they usually make it lower. If you don't like to work on your car (or don't have the knowledge to work on it...) all the time, don't get too big of a turbo, b/c big power means things break a lot. :mrgreen:

If you have big power or little power, you won't break things if it's tuned correctly. I would have to agree that a Greddy kit will get you were you need to be. I would however suggest ditching the supplied fuel management and go to OBD-1 for engine management. Or, if you decide to stay OBD-2, AEM EMS.
