Hey everyone, new here...so far everything seems kool. I've got a 2000 SL1 Saturn...aka Sattie. She's got s few goodies like:SPS Billet Strut Tower Bar, Short Ram AEM Intake, 16" Konigs (changing soon), Stillen Brake Pads, DTM Muffler (just enough purr to reset alarms...lol) Some custom interior painting on the usual places like shift knob, fuse panels, etc.(door panels and dash still in progress) Stock audio other than the 12 Disc Pioneer Changer, Purple Underbody neon kit....oh and the always talked about APC Street Metal Wing. It's the one I liked and if no one likes it I'm kool with that, we all like different stuff.

If you have questions, ask away, check out my site if you wanna see me and what I'm trying to do...the end :D

Drop it. Clint and I could probably do the install for you... since we have some experiance (if you wanna call it that haha) with working on Saturns

Or just me, since I did mine all by myself.

Oh! Twin-Cam is selling his Intrax springs! And if you get KYB struts and strut mounts, I'll make a direct swap kit for ya!

*edit*
Why isn't an engine swap in the list? I know someone that has a completely new 97 DOHC for you to pop into that.

S-series with anything bigger than 16" rims on it need a big brake kit, which costs 1400 bucks total for all 4 conversions. Believe me, you do NOT want to see these cars with big rims and not new rotors and calipers.

I would either lower it or tint it next. 30% tint looks good....there's pictures of mine around here somewhere.

20% looks awesome on S's.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. I'll try and sum everything up...

Yeah, I should be getting the tint done week after next and dropping her soon after. Most people don't like the wing but as I said I'm kool with it. It would probably look better if I had some kind of kit, but I'mma try my hand at glassing over the next few weeks and see what I can do with a stock wing. I did have a 'lose the wing' option but it didn't show up.

Oh, I would eventually like to do a engine and tranny swap, but no time soon unless I get some type of funding to do it.

99SL2_Modder: Now that you mention it, you are right about the big brakes...I was thinking of getting some 17's and do a rear disc conversion...who knows, maybe someone will pick up on my business venture and we can all have big brake kits for less

Again, thanks for the comments...keep em coming :D

Nice to have a girl on the site. I Actually prefer a clean look on most car's, Saturns are one of those car's. And 20% Does look sick on saturns, Clint's tint on his car sets his off!!!!!

Hey. I have the drop and the swap.

I have a set of Intrax lowering springs I would be willing to uninstall off my car and give you for, say, $125. Only 10K miles on them, they were $250 new. 1.75" drop all around, fairly good ride for lowering springs.

Also have a '97 DOHC motor completely rebuilt using all OEM parts. Everything from rings to valve seals to bearings to gaskets replaced. I'd be willing to let it go for $1100. Needs only an intake manifold/fuel rail and accessories, and will be ready to drop in. 24 horsepower plus an engine that'll go for 200K miles for $1100. Woot!

PM me or e-mail for details

Welcome- Checked out your site- pretty cool what you're doing
IMO, i lean toward performace first, then looks- but springs were one of my early mods, so if i had to choose something, i guess i'd choose the lowering option. you don't want to be bucking like a horse when your shifting gears!

Well, just about any aftermarket spring is better than stock on our cars. Stock springs are so bouncy, it's like driving a septa bus.

Welcome to the forum  im nwere than you here anyways, hehe
Thanks for inviting me here, its pretty cool page.

Id say, got with the drop and when you save some money go with the swap. If you like your wing keep it, i kinda like it, but you could also get some custom mounts done to make it sit lower and in a dragster style, like the photoshop i did for that other guy.

Well, she has the clear corners and the pinstriping, which gives the car some silver clear accents. If you didnt notice it, her wheels are silver not white, they just look odd in the pictures.

GyrlSpeedRT
07-12-2005, 11:14 AM
^^^I guess I did a great job cleaning them 'cuz a lot of people think they're white...lol.

ZQ8Rado, I'm leaning towards some 17" Voxx wheels. Gonna be a hot minute before I get them unless someone wants to donate to the GyrlSpeed 'Get rid of the old Konigs rims' fund :D
