It sucks that the prices are going to be so high. Bad ass car though.

there is no doubt in my mind that the car will be fast...but there is just way too much happening with the body on that thing...the lines are all over the place

Looks like an EVO wing to me? It looks good and 57K isn't too bad a price.

If the figures are right that price is pretty good. $57k for 480hp and likely a very high-tech suspension setup.
C6 Z06's are awesome values, too, but this one might top it... 505 HP for $65k or 480HP for $57k, and probably comparable handling. Could be really interesting.

Well..let's also include the fact that the new Corvette SS/Blue Devil will have 600+, the new Viper has 600hp, and then you have the ice-sled GT500KR's with 560hp and the SuperSnakes with 600 and 725hp. It could make some things interesting..

The Super Snakes I think are $70k msrp (close, but still 13k more), and the Corvette SS will probably be just under double the price of the GTR. Insane cars, but not quite in the same price category.

Well we also don't know..the GTR kind of puts a wrench into where exactly you're looking. The SS will be 100K, which is just around the EVO version of the GTR. Therefore..we can assume that that will (should) be a decent match).

I wasn't really saying it was expensive for what you get. I was just saying it is going to be expensive. I would have liked to see a bare bones base model (maybe even non-turbo) around the 35-40K range.

I've actually been interested in this car since it came about. There unfortunately isn't much concrete at this point. The big factor for performance that I don't hear anyone discussing is weight. If this car weighs anything over 3,400 or so, it really isn't going to be much of a contender when compared to Z06's, Vipers, Porsche TT's, etc. The other factor that will hold it back some will be the efficieny of the AWD system.
I like the car, but am interested to see what the complete specs really are.
anyone wanna lend me $94k? I want one

The other problem is is it's been in development for so long that many companies have gotten ahead/will get ahead simply because they've wasted time.

If it stays within the 60K to 70K range, I’ll strongly consider purchasing it.
You can always “chip” and “exhaust” the standard GTR to pump out far more that 500hp.
Some of you may have seen this clip already.

I was considering buying this but now I am reconsidering. It is pretty expensive even if it is a great performance vehicle I'd rather get the new M3. I love the fact that even if the bmw is slightly modified they won't hesitate to give you warranty work or help you out. i am sure the GTR will be like Mitsu and the Evo. It's broken? well it was probably your fault so your beat.

Yea..but..it wouldn't take thousands of dollars to repair. All of my warranty experiences with Nissan have been great..and my Z wasn't stock.

<---Hi my name is keith and im a GT-Rholic.
Nissan will not hesitate to do warranty work on modified vehicles. and all the talk about how this thing will stack to higher priced more power V8s. Remember, this is still the king of the tuner cars. spend a few grand and im sure it will piss on the competition.

lol.
I always wante to see someone piss on the competition. Like, literally walk over and piss on someone they are competing against. Like in boxing or something. I think it would be pretty damn funny.
As for the GTR? I want one, although people get way too overhyped about Skylines.

if i had the loot i would buy one. people keep sayin the price is high for a nissan, but what did the r34 cost new (converting yen to dollars)? i cant wait to see the final specs on the car. are they using the altessa(sp?) awd system or something similar to that on this car?

coulda just said this
Whether the images are photochops or not, the Nissan GTR is going to be hot. The standard GTR will be priced at roughly $57k, the V SPEC $67k and the EVO version $94k. The standard GTR and V SPEC will hit the 480hp while the EVO reaches 530hp from the VQHRTT engine and weighs in at 220lbs less than the standard GTR.
