The last day of my tech school at MBIT on June 16th I was driving on Alms house road. at that intersection where the light is by that little pond, i was getting ready to go around this guy that was making a left (if you follow this road all the way down it brings you to streetroad/Walmart. Anyway he was already in the middle of the road and I was going past him on the right when he just stops for no darn reason and sits there. The people behind me were following me around to go around this guy as well. Well what seemed like forever the light turns yellow then red, well the guy was so far out in the traffic and I had no where to go, he throws his car into reverse and backs right onto both my driver and passenger side doors scraping all the way down. I was looking right at him and I kind of froze when I saw a car coming at my door and I do remember going for my horn but missed it I think. The entire time he was backing up he never looked on the passenger side of his car to make sure he wasn't backing up into me. I don't know how he could have missed not seeing MY ENTIRE CAR close to him...
I had no where to go, because if I would have went forward, i would have drove right onto the guy. If I would have gone forward and too the right all the way, I would have drove right into a hugh rock. And if I had enough time to back my car up, I would have drove right up onto someone's hood of there car.
Well after the guy backed into me, we pulled over and of course I didn't have my cell phone on me and he keep asking me "what is the number for the cops" and I was just so pissed that he backed into my car and was already going to be late to my last day of tech that I said forget about it. That was a bad move on my part I guess (and his). Well he said it was his fault and was at the time being a very nice person.
Well he said he would call me back like next day and I never heard from him. I call him the day after that and he said he was waiting for me to call him (whatever dude). Anyway he says that because i was passing him on the right hand side that if he would have called the cops I would have got a ticket. Hum its odd because they just paved the road and made it "wider" so people that are turning left don't block up traffic for everyone else. I told him well you should have called them if you were going to pull this one me. The fact is, you put your car into reverse and backed right onto the side of my car without EVER looking behind you on my side to make sure no one was coming. Funny thing is he never even looked behind him just to the left? Freaking messed up. My aunt used to be a cop and she said that you are responsible of keeping your car in control while you are driving it, and well he didn't do a good of a job just throwing his car into reverse and backing up into my car.
Well a few days go by and I get a estimate for the damage. The total is going to be around $1,500 for a bad ass scratch and some body damage(what a rip). So once again its the good old "my car's retail value is less then the damage done to my car". I hate that when people use that bs because of my car being old. So you are going to total my car for a few hundard dollars just because my car is scratched? WTF am i going to get for a few hundard dollars that runs as well as my car, and has as much $$ invested into the car. I had this same problem with the last person that backed into the side of my car. There was well over 2K of damage but i was able to (oh lucky me) to get $500 bucks from the person. Or they would total my car if i went though insurance. Even then my car was still able to drive and run just fine. I went to Maaco and got all my body work, and entire car painted for like $800 bucks. Thats another thing that sucks is I just got the entire car repainted in Sept and now I have this huge scratch all the way down my car.
So the guy is telling me now that because it was bad for me to pass him on the right (while he was turning and like everyone behind me was going to do the same as well) that we should just call it even and walk away. So for backing into my car, you can just walk away and leave my car looking like crap... Thanks. I offered the guy just to pay me a few hundard dollars just so I have something to work off of to get the entire car repainted again (the paint won't match and will look dumb if I just get the doors painted). However now the guy isn't calling me back, and last time I talked to someone was his wife and she said he was sleeping and once again I gave her my phone number to call back.
At this point I am going to call there house and cell one last time and if he doesn't call me back today, I am going to have to call the cops and tell them what happened, then go about contacting his insurance company. He has the option now just to give me a few hundard dollars or have to eat up $1,500 dollars of the full damage :). I am going to drop my car off at my friends shop and the insurance company is going to be forced to pay what they tell them how much it will cost to fix it.
Any tips before I go about doing this today guys. I hope you guys can understand it it all. Bad grammer but I really don't care to much right now...

Before this little BS, I already was getting a Brake upgrade set for the car, getting some 16" Eagle Alloy 192 Series rims, Eibach lowering springs, power coating the bumpers, and full out audio system.. but everytime I want to do something for myself.. .something else comes up.
The fact is I like my car and it gets me from point A to B and never lets me down. I just love how people trash my car because of what I drive. If I really wanted to hell I would get another car, but its like why get rid of something if it works great and never gives you any problems. I just think to myself, atleast I don't have to replace my tranmission or motor every time i like change my oil in my car. Also it seems like the people that dis my car are thanking me after when I pick them up because there are over-heated or car won't turn over. So I understand if so of you just tell me to take the $$ and total the car..there is no reason for me too. The motor runs great and the damage isn't preventing the car from moving. If the motor was burning oil or an axle was bent.. well then I guess I would have to let it go. I think you guys would be the same with your cars if you really respect your car for what it is.
