Hey I was just wondering how much would it be to swap an sti engine into a gc8 if you guys supplied a rebuilt engine? How long would it take approximately? I'd also like to do things like swap out the gauge cluster and steering wheel but would it be cheaper to do that with the engine swap or would it be the same? Also would it be better to swap the tranny too or will the 2.5rs tranny hold? Thanks.

I know this is for 1320 but when I was getting prices it was like around $8000. And if your going to spend the money for a swap then you should just go 6spd. IMO

He doesn't work for 1320 so he really doesn't know, he was just saying what it was when he looked with another shop previously.

Eh, you dont have to get a 6 Speed, just look for a V2-V6 STi 5 Spd, those will hold easily 300+ Whp. As far as I know V2's are pretty cheap since they bolt right up to our cars' diffs and such. 4.11 Final drive ftw.

just get the motor and build the stock trans. the 6-speed is obviously stronger then your stock one but it's not invincible.
