My odometer occasionally doesn't roll...HOWEVER everything else in the entire cluster works FINE!!

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get to the gearing or the wires for just the odometer ITSELF so I can try and mess with this thing.

Get back to me PLEASE!!

this happened to my boss's accord's cluster, it had to do with something non-cluster related. it was like $400 or so to replace. ill ask him tomorrow what it was, if hes in at least

why do you care if the miles aren't adding up? I would be happy as ****.

That's most likely the little bung on the transmission housing.

Tach signal is different from the speedo signal.

A coil problem or a distributer connection generally messes with the tach, but since they're related, it's probably a ground issue for the cluster, or a cluster wire/clip is loose.

To the OP...

I would first take the cluster out and make sure it is clipped in correctly. Next I would take the connector off the the speed sensor and look for corrosion. After that, replace cluster. There was one honda-tech post I ran across once about changing mileage on the cluster, but beyond that, most people don't know how to mess with them it seems. You might just want to get a new one and keep the old one to prove the mileage when selling it.

I don't b/c I would like it now too to match an odometer to my cars soon-to-be motor mileage...oh well, it should be able to be found with some searching.
