So I went to Philly today. With me car. Parked in a garage. Flat, or so I thought surface. As always, me parking/e-brake was on, and I didn't bother to leave it in gear. Why? Well, it wasn't hilly. Or so I thought.

Came back, and well, my car (and parking brake) decided that my life was just too good, and that backing itself into a concrete pillar, cracking the bumper and denting the trunk was the solution.

I don't get it. I visited the car twice..once 20 mins after, and another an hour after. Didn't move. I even stayed there for maybe 5 mins after we parked taking pictures of the skyline. Didn't move. Then it decided that Dylan wants to pay the deductable. He really, really does.

**** this. I'll sue GM and Wagoner for all their worth, then sell them to Daewoo.

lol, turns out the parking brake linkage was broke, causing it to give way after 2 or 3 hours. Therefore my warranty is covering the deductable. Going monday for an estimate..

Hopefully its a blessing in disguise. Im think im debadging the back and filling my spoiler holes..

Here's the whole deal since I have time to type it out..

Parked at a garage in Center City around 16th and Race. Left the car, parking brake (notice it is not an emergency brake; I should have had it in gear, yes, but old habits die hard) engaged. It was on the flattest surface there, angled a bit towards the decline of the slope. We went to the top level of the garage to take photos. 10 mins later? Still there.

We go to see my friend Larry, who is having problems with this diesel Mercedes. It's alarm sounds like a ****ing air raid alarm, I can NOT make this up. It's the ****. Regardless, we go back to the car before dinner to drop off a bag with her camera (twas dead). Car was still there.

We go to eat. Then we watch a moviefilms. Then we go home. Then my car is NOT on the 3rd level, but rather it was on the ramp right before, against a concrete pillar. My first inclination was that it was hit and lodged there, but we haven't found any evidence of such. What we did find..

..was the parking brake to have been broken and maladjusted. So as of right now, I'm not paying a cent.

So we'll see...i'll keep ya posted.

Regardless, keep it in gear. It's a bad lesson. Even if your car doesn't need it.

Going for the estimate, appraisal, and another eval today. Woot.

I've owned a manual car for over 5 years now and I always leave in in neutral with the parking brake on and (thankfully) have had zero problems. In fact, I have to leave it in neutral because of my turbo timer.

Appraisal: 2140. They also want 634 to fill in the spoiler holes. So yea, that won't get done now lol. It's going in next monday.

So Jr, ill be with Toby this weekend and the Goat the next. Im also debadging the rear (cept the Arrowhead) bc I have some ideas...
