i got my 95mustang GT. Have a little problem with the RPM Tach, It works when it wants to work. But when it works it doesn't seem accurate. I could be wrong. It doesn't work on start up than it would after a little bit or just doesn't work at all. My autotech teacher told me to replace the gauge, the owner told me replace the sensor on the trans. I'm confused. Nebody have or had that problem.

Tach = Electronic. Speedo = Cable running into the transmission. Check contacts on the back of the dash and if everything looks fine, you prob just need a new gauge

factory tach or aftermarket?
if its the factory, the signal for it might have a loose connection. if its aftermarket, it might be loose where it is spliced into the factory sensor

The connections look good. I went to the ford dealer they said I would have to replace the whole unit. So I said f93k that it was like 389 bills.
