Well I went into photoshop and messed with some pics changing the Curves, Levels, and colors like Chris told me to, and I think they look better but I still can’t get them to look like his pictures  After I save the copy it looks like crap IDK...
Before:
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/soufeastpenn/Thewhipages011.jpg
After: Too overexposed
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/soufeastpenn/Thewhipages011Changedcopy.jpg
Before:
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/soufeastpenn/Thewhipages005.jpg
After: This one turned out like ****, but I liked the blue lol
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/soufeastpenn/Thewhipages005copy.jpg
Before:
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/soufeastpenn/Thewhipages006.jpg
After: It's more overexposed than it looked but oh well.
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c372/soufeastpenn/Thewhipages006changedcopy.jpg
Chris maybe you can take one of my before pictures and mess with it then show me how it turned out so I can compare it to my after pictures. Thanks.

yeah the biggest help will be to get the best originals you can... a lot of those shots are really glarey and contrasty which will make them hard to improve much. watch your composition and your backgrounds to keep the photos looking clean, and watch the light, especially when shooting cars which are really reflective.
once you get some decent photos to work with then just make small changes using levels or curves to adjust exposure and contrast, then you can adjust saturation too if you like. sharpen them if need be and you should be on your way.
but yeah, try to get some easier photos to work with first, those would be hard to save.

You just arn't working with great pictures to correct. Take a lot of time to use your camera and take the same picture like 50 time using different settings, figure out what makes the best picture.

Yea, well it isn't mine, It is my dads, he's a photographer, but I don't think he would be able to help me too much with car pics, and he is always to busy to help me with photoshop also.
The d1x is my dads, I only have a N90 which is only like $700, it's old, it's a film camera lol that is why I use his D1x

before you do things to the photo think of what will make it pop. maybe isolate the engine block and use a slight blur on the rest of the pic like this
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d74/Broken5hift/DSC_0025.jpg
simple things usually work best. make the focus of your pic just that, the focus

The white edges are from the paste job after I cut it, for some reason the car wont fit back to where it was cut from so edges were left around the outside, and when I blured it they spread, so... lol IDK

if you pasted the car on a separate layer, you could wand select on the area where there is no car then under select, invert the selection, then under select/modify, you can constrain it to make it tighter around the car, in certain spots it might make it too close or too far in, and in those areas, hold shift and use the polygon selection tool to add back in the areas that are too close. (this is just a quick way to get a decent selection. ) then use selective color and change the white to black... or any color actually.

The chop doesn't make the picture, it merely enhances it...Here's an example...

Here's the final...

All I did was auto color correction, crop it, blur the background slightly, border it, and add my name. Not a lot, but I think the final picture is much better than what I started with!
