View Full Version : any1 w/ 3in exhaust on srt4"updated"

any srt-4 members on here with a full turbo back 3in exhaust?
this past weekend my pops and i started to make one for my car(excluding the catless downpipe that i had to order) but the rest is custom made. its going to be a full 3 inch stainless steel no cat, (and maybe) no resonator, side exit exhaust. right now, just the catless downpipe is on the car, and i am almost death in both ears. though we had to put the dp on to measure the rest of the piping. hopefully, the rest of the piping should be on with in the next 24hrs. im waiting till the rest of the piping goes on to see how it will sound. if its still loud, and still has a droning sound to it, i will put on the resonator that i just ordered. anywho, just wanted to hear some feedback.

Ray from Revitup has a 3" setup i believe....sounds like he did the same as you cept he is still rear exit. And his sounds AMAZING!

man if its too loud through a resonator on there!!
i have a 3 inch turbo back with no cat, and two resonators and its still loud as **** :(

woops. read this post a little too late. yes, i was at the meet last night. i was the orange srt. from what i've read about your car, i hear it is a beast. i also read somewhere that you are using emange?? if so, i will def. have to chat with you about it. :rock:

well, this weekend i got around to putting the new exhaust finally on. there are some minor things that need to be adjusted. like, reconfiguring a new hanger for it. as you can see in the pic. it hangs a bit to low to the ground. gunna be taking care of that soon. maybe wed. or so. and also, i ordered a resonator for it. its loud and a little droning like. so when that comes in i'll be putting that on as well. anywho :rock:

I have 3" side exhaust on my SRT-4. I cut some of the metal away and made the tip sit less than an inch away from the side skirt. No burning or clunking of the pipes on the body. I have an exhaust shop so that helps. :mrgreen:

I have a res and that is it. Pretty loud. I idle it through my neighborhood when leaving early or coming home too late.

:updated: this weekend i got around to welding in my resonator on my exhaust. sounds much, much better now. also, fixed the mounting bracket so the exhaust is now much more tighter to the body and doesn't hang as low now. booyakasha!!!!!!!! i love it!

anywho, heres a pic for anyone interested in what it might look like.(just the exhaust though) tomm. i'll post some better pix with the exhaust on the car. booyakasha!!!!!!
