well my mom wanted a new camera to shoot for my sisters birthday this saturday. she asked me to come with her and pick a camera.

i wanted something not sooo expensive, name brand, and with a nice zoom.

i came upon this. samsung's nv7 ops.

i had to rush to work after we bought it but she hands me the bag and says, here's your early bday present. i said, sweet!

so right, the camera is easy to use. the buttons are sooo cool. they are finger tip sensitive. u put your finger on a square, it highlights that part of the screen, u then push the button to select it.

to adjust the brightness, you highlight and select brightness. then after that, you slide your finger across the squares to adjust the brightness. its pretty cool.

Samsung NV7 OPS Digital Camera - Black

7.2-megapixel: The Samsung NV7 offers 7.2 megapixels and a 1/1.8" CCD, not normally used in slim cameras, for better detail.

Zoom: This camera has a 7x optical zoom and a 5x digital zoom. Combined for a total of 35x zoom, it allows for better close-ups without losing picture quality.

2.5" LCD: A large, full-color TFT display helps you frame shots easily and view them clearly after shooting.

OPS: Optical picture stabilization (OPS) uses an Image Sensor Shift mechanism that moves the sensors in the opposite direction to the movement of the lens, stabilizing your images. Your minor shakes and movements will not affect the picture quality.
Schneider-Kreuznach lens: The superior Schneider-Kreuznach lens produces crystal clear images. This bright lens also delivers more natural-looking pictures and each lens surface is multi-coated to minimize the ghost or flare phenomenon.

Movie mode: Record MPEG-4 movies—the length is only limited by the available space on the internal memory or your SD memory card.

Photo gallery: An upgraded version of the photo album, the gallery feature lets you go directly to the album where pictures are grouped and stored by date for easier access.

Smart touch: A reversed-L shape button layout on the LCD screen recognizes even the slightest touch and makes it easier to navigate the menu or use any of its many features.

Memory: This digital camera comes with 19MB of internal memory. Get the most out of your camera by adding a 512MB or larger MultiMediaCard or SD memory card. How much memory do you need? Click here to find out.

11 scenes settings: 11 scene modes (portrait, landscape, etc.) guide you in taking better pictures, automatically.

Auto-macro: This feature allows you to take close-up pictures automatically, even if the close-up mode is not set.

Voice recording: Make voice notes to yourself or comment on pictures you’ve taken. Records up to 1 hour.

Self-timer: The self-timer mode comes with three options. You can use a 2-second delay, a 10-second delay, or an option that takes two pictures after a 10-second delay.

PictBridge-compatible: Print pictures directly from your camera by connecting the NV10 to any PictBridge-compatible printer.

the last shot is photoshopped. but with very little effort.

did some b/w, blur, and messed around with the levels. tada. 3 steps.

try to avoid the digital zoom and stick with the optical,
