Ok..im torn. I think im gonna take the "RAM AIR" off the hood. Just stopped really caring. But I hate making rash decisions. Thoughts?
I also think I want to gut the cats and remove the resonators. It'll be somewhat illegal, and by somewhat I mean very, so im torn there. Is there any actual value (power/performance) to gutting the cats? I know removal is good, but gutting..does that accomplish the same thing?
I'm also thinking about what mod to do this summer..headers, or rims. Leaning towards headers.
Thoughts?

i like the ram air vinyl, and idk about gutting the cat, id either take it completely off, or incase a state tripper checked out your car, take off the cat(s) gut it in half and weld in a piece of straight pipe in there thus making it appear to have a full function cat, and for the wheels or headders, i say headders, but thats just me haha good luck on the decisions mang!

I think the decal looks pretty sharp, but sometimes you get tired of things. You can always replace it.
As far as the cat deal, I don't think gutting them will net a whole hell of a lot. Maybe easier to just eliminate em. Oh yes and I also would go with headers. I'm all about performance first and foremost. lol

Thanks guys!
I had I talked about in another thread and with friends..after warranty Im 90% sure i'm going Nitrous. 100hp is 100hp, no matter how its done. Being able to turn it off appeals to me. And being able to "light the candle" also appeals to me.
Thoughts on that?
(I also don't have the capital for turbo. If I had, i'd just get that and start raping things left and right)

Not a huge fan of Nitrous, but to each his own. I hear it's like gettin a tat, once you start, theres no stoppin. lol...Good luck with your decision. I know the LS1 and LS2 motors can handle a 100 shot easily on the stock block.

if you decide to go with juice, definetely go with the zex kit, they have one of the best, safety feature(s) on the kit (wot switch) ect. check them out and i would state wtih a 75 then proceed up to a 100-125 NO BIGGER haha

i say this... remove the cats... do not gut them... that way.. you can put em back if you want. headers are a great mod.... wheels are solid too... the vinyl isnt that bad...

I would say leave the vinyl just because it makes your car stand out a little more. I would also say to either get rid of the cats or gut them with a striaght pipe through works about the same. There won't be much performance increase unless your cats were clogged but the sound is what changes the most. It was night and day for my car with, and then with gutted cats. As much as I am about performance, I think the stock manifolds are not that bad on your car and would probably lean towards a nice set of wheels and tires since I'm not really a big fan of the stock rims. Maybe a set of drag radials or something would be beneficial if you plan on going to the track.

Dylan, Dylan, Dylan. Go with headers no doubt. Don't worry about gutting out the cats. Just leave them be. If you decide to go with long tubes you are going to have to switch up the ypipe anyways. Once you get long tubes, then we will go from there. Don't do wheels.

High-flow cats with electric cutouts after the header and before the cats? aka exhaust dump
STS rear-mounted turbo kit?

lol, I completely forgot about that detail...thanks Rob.
Headers it'll be...for now
Should I get cheaper ones (pacesetters), or the cake (Kooks). Kooks are like JDM, yo.
lol, I love how this hobby completely depletes both a paycheck and confidence at points.

Definately headers. Pacesetters are great for the money, had them on my WS6. Kooks are definately domestic "jdm" haha, but are awesome though. The guy I sold my WS6 to is running a 100 dry shot on it now. Here are his numbers with the shot, headers, ORY, and cam:
472hp/455tq on 100 dry shot
11.3 @ 121.47
With the money you save on pacesetters...cam that thing!

I agree get the cheaper headers. Don't forget most of the rest of the exhaust will have be changed when you go to long tubes. I also forgot about that until Hick brought it up
