hey guys, one of my buddies just got a nos kit for his otherwise stock jetta. the instructions says the timing has to be retarded 4 degrees for a 75 shot. I was wondering if anyone has had this particular modification done for their rides. I could use some help on deciding the best way to do this. i would also like to be able to switch back to stock form if possible.

you can allways grab a bat and whack the brain in the ecu. that should do the trick
but on a serious note the best way to do it will be ecu reprograming from like awe

lol, yeah...i guess it does come down to smash n bash every once in a while. that's what i told him, but he was aiming for something less permanent, like a piggy back ecu or just a timing controler. im not quite sure how he was planning on using the nos, but if he does get a reflash and his bottle runs out or he has it turned off...how will that affect his engine?

Is he running a switch where he hits it himself, or does he plan to use a WOT throttle switch?

if he does a safc 2 he can do a map for nitrous and leave the other map stock and switch back in forth between the 2
