I just ordered a Pantone Eye One Display 2 monitor calibration tool after realizing how horribly different my monitors were. This device calibrates each monitor perfectly to ensure that what your monitor displays really is accurate so the way your photos print and display on the web are their best.
This purchase wasn't exactly budgeted for so I figure I'll loan it out to anyone who's interested for $20 so you can set your monitor(s) up correctly.
The only people who would be interested in this are the ones who probably already know what it is and what it does, but here's a link to info on it: http://www.pantone.com/pages/products/product.aspx?ca=2&pid=108
Its recommended that you calibrate your monitors monthly, but I figure every 3-6 months should be fine. Even just calibrating it once would be a huge improvement over where it probably sits right now.
If you have a laptop its probably best to bring it to me and just let me do the calibration, but if you have a desktop I could bring it to you or maybe you could borrow it overnight as long as you leave a deposit or something. I don't have things really ironed out here but I thought some people might be interested in this because I know I would have been if I didn't just drop the coin on purchasing one.
