My little brother is 6'5" and about 270lbs. He lifts wieghts every day and hes bigger then I am.
One time there was a spider on the porch in front of the door to our house and he wouldn't go past it. Then I picked it up and acted like I was going to throw it at him and he screamed at the top of his lungs and ran 2 blocks down the street. LOL.

i dont like spiders at all, just typing the word gives me itches....
heres some of the things i have to deal with...
theres some in my backyard who spin a web that goes from our deck to the ground, about 15 feet... when i walk in the backyard its like 15 x 8 in size (they spin one almost every weekend in the summer) and i walk THROUGH IT EVERY TIME and am grossed out for like an hour and have to shower immediately or jump in the pool
they do the same thing on my front porch, i walk with my hands in front of me to break it before i get in my house... i dont really see the spiders tho so im not sure of size...

had those in texas, huge! heh this reminds me i had tower guard a few months ago and saw some movement out of the corner of my eye. turned to see what it was and found myself face to pedipalp with a fat grey spider the size of my hand (not fist HAND) long story short i whacked the sucker TWICE with a broom, HARD and couldnt see any proof i got the thing (was trying to scuttle into a crack on the second whack)

I hate spiders. If i see one, i jump and cringe, then i get a book and squash it. As far as i'm concerned, the fewer spiders on earth, the better.

When I was searching for the exact type of spider it was that I was shooting I came across some info on that big green mofo just posted. It's a hunting spider. It builds no web, basically stalks its food like a praying mantis and it gets to be almost 6" from leg to leg. I would love to shoot one of them.
Sorry to all of those spooked by my pics. Maybe I should post a warning in the title?

My contribution. Found this sucker waiting for me when I opened the front door, he was at eye level and his web stretched all the way across the front door.

haha, it's funny to see everyone's reactions to this thread. Apparently I'm not afraid of spiders...or maybe i just realize that they're only pictures and what's the chances of any of them crawling on me at the exact moment i am reading this when it's never happened before. Therefore...i'm not afraid...at the moment

Here's a picture of a banana spider that a co-worker of mine was bitten by. His hand swelled up to the size of a softball. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b261/vwcorradokid/AUT_0001_1.jpg

04BlueSRT4 Those orb weavers are some incredible spiders. I had one living on my front porch "by the light" all last summer. The web in the morning dew was so cool to see not to mention throwing everything from flys to worms into it was an amazing show.

**** SPIDERS!!!
whenever i come across one making a web inbetween trees i usually bust out a nice can of spray paint and empty the entire canister on it's ass! (plus, a bright red spider web is actually pretty cool looking)
