Nope, only had it since January and its been fine. I've replaced the oil cooler lines (common oil leak problem) and flushed the coolant system. Flushing the system made the waterpump leak so that was replaced too (dirt was holding the seal together) Other than that, its been great, almost at 119k miles... :) Putting some bigger tires at the end of teh summer, truck has a grill guard, blackouts and remote start

damn that sucks. well they're very very similar motors, but I hear you can either have really good luck or really bad luck w/ 'em. Maybe b/c mine was last year of the Jimmy I got lucky with revisions and updates :) :knocks on wood:

you guys gotta realize that this is the "GM tech" section. With the exception of the L92 and LT1 you can fix out cars with a hammer. Our cars get made fun of for it's simplicity by the tuner crowd, but they don't break as much.
When you don't try and stuff 10 pounds of **** into a 5 pound bag, you don't have thread after thread of technical problems.

IF you want domestic threads, look to the kill section or talk more about drag racing.

(that should get um going)

well, imo, the L98 (not l92) and LT1 cars are VERY reliable compared to a lot of other GM engines around. I've seen lt1's and l98's w/ over 200k miles and you'd never know it. can't say that about a lot of their v6 and i4's...

lol..Prolly not, them motors last fairly long. I had a 92 S10 with a 2.8 and a 5spd, she was fun as hell to drive. I can see why people throw small blocks in em. They can be Beastly for sure.

Boy there is alot of LT1 love in here.
You guys must like reverse flow, opti, and pulling the engine to change spark plugs. And who can forget OBDI Tune'n!

yeah im not really trying to build the worlds fastest v8 powered s10 just making trying to build a bad ass mini truck300hp. i remeber when i put the billet 17"s on it the little 4 could barely get out of its own way. im going for the small block, bodydrop, bags, stereo and some huge dubs probally 22 or 24's. strictly for cruising car shows and bbqs
