Exactly - from my early karaoke days, I DJ'd in a bar in Lander, Wyoming, right off the Wind River Indian Reservation. There'd be really drunk people in there trying to sing, and we had a rule - in fact, it was painted onto the wall - if you suck, we're going to outsing you. We don't care if you have a microphone, there's only one of you, and there's 100 of us....

I saw this kid on the news, and I actually know some good metal bands - Reverend, Metal Church, Byfist, Azrael's Bane, etc - my best friend's kid plays bass in two of those bands and we've done charity concerts for LLS...

I say we get a group of 40-50 people together, learn some Carpenters or Abba songs, I'll bring my karaoke sound system (800 watts), and we can drown his untalented ass out...

We tell the hostess...this guy is the guest of honor, and he's paying....with a smirk...because he's getting ready to be the next biggest thing in the music scene. That way, when we leave, one at a time, and he's still sitting there, they won't think anything of it.

If he could actually sing, it wouldn't be so bad, but he can't. He thinks he can, but really he can't at all. And yes, he really is out there ALL the time. He's actually upgraded his gear to include a mic stand now. It's ridiculous.

One time, he woke me up so I decided to take action. I live four doors down from him and I could hear him inside my house with the air on so I was really pissed. Anyway, I stood on my porch and winged my shoe at him...hit him right in the side of the face. Funniest event ever not caught on camera.

Oh, and I am SO in for that dinner idea.
