Finally some action pics of the Talon, but it didn't last long  Spun a rod bearing so she is down for a month or two.

Any gains or response from the coil on plug setup.

The reason I ask is Scion TC's come with a coil on plug setup and nearly anyone making decent power has gotten rid of it and gone back to a standard coilpack/wire setup.

Coil on plug is the most efficent ignition system, because you don't have any power loss due to the resistance in the plug wire. Besides if it's good enough for Sheps 7 second monster it's good enough for me

Looks good, sad to hear about the engine problems.
IMO it needs more of a drop, what suspension is on there?

The suspension is stock, but that should be after the new 6 bolt short block hopefully next month.

Been driving a 2G Talon since 96 and I am still not tired of the looks of the car.

COP looks nice but is overkill until you are putting down over 500whp.

Hopefully with the new short block I'll be close to 500awhp:devil:

all the really fast evo's have also gone back to a coilpack/wire setup. the most common setup is to just take everything off junked 1g dsms. funny how 2003-2006 cars are "upgrading" back to componants that came on '90s.

I think if you get a new set of tires you should go with 235/40's, the sidewall wont be so high, nice car, gotta love the Talons!

All the high HP EVO's are going back to plug wire set up http://www.amsperformance.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=22_50&products_id=1192 maybe not:wink: , but the evo coil pack could be weak. At lest for DSM's they use 300M coil packs

I was thinking of going the other way and trying to fit 235/50's to try to get some more side wall flex during hard launches
