Besides the drag strips mentioned, there's a lot of fun to be had on road courses.
Pocono usually with http://www.pdadrivingschool.com/ (will be there on May 5) or with car clubs; also Watkins Glen.

I don't know about "fastest" ...I can easily hit 160 on the main straight at Pocono but no where near that at Atco ...if maybe your trap speeds are 160 though, congrats.
just some road racing courses where people in the tristate area would mostlikely go to. except for Sebring but i would go there if you want to test you skills and endurance.
the best Eastcoast track is VIR, by far. its not only the track but its thier facilities, next on my list is Sebring it is one of the more challenging track in the U.S. You would not be able to put down any fast times unless you at least 10 to 20hr on the track. Those two are my fav on the eastcoast. Watkins glen is good but i would not race on it if i were a beginner. the best track for beginners is putnam park, it is by far has the most runoff room, it is unbeatable. There is also Mid ohio in lexington ohio, a great designed track, runoff room where you need it. And it has a lot of elavation changes, this track is good for amateurs and a good track for experinced drivers. as u can see i love road racing

Do not forget Summit Point in West Virginia. It is not too far north west of DC in the "hook" part of WV.

I know, I hear all the whiners from other tracks always complaining about altitude, sea level, track prep ...so we all know that an 11 et at Atco must be equivalent to like a 13 most other tracks

Atco is probably not the fastest track most of the time. Cecil is actually in my opinion. Haven't raced at Atco before but I will take my word on it that Cecil is faster with their downhill slope at the end.

Back in the day every dragster ran their fastest times at Cecil. And you can go around the waterbox! Thats nice for some of us!
