View Full Version : 02rex's Subaru WRX, now even more illegal!

Well since it's such a crappy day out and theres really nothing else to do, I figured I'd finally make myself a journal. Ive always like the WRX, but never figured i'd own one until I was much older. So, the closest thing to it that i found was a 1997 impreza L. Now keep in mind this was at a time where i really needed a car and was out of options. It was an automatic, which sucked, but it was in great condition and i got it for real cheap.

And of course i did the usual mods, borla exhaust, CAI, and gold wrx rims. I also got 4% tint put on, which got me pulled over wayyy too much.

While that car was ok to drive, lol once i had begun to save up some money i started looking for used wrx's. Never thinking i would ever find one within my price range, somehow over on nasioc i did. Called up the owner, took it for a test drive, 2 weeks later i was the proud and happy owner of a 2002 wrb wrx. my dreams had come true.

Once i got used to the power of the car though, the modding bug quickly bit and before i knew it parts were on their way. nothing to big since i didnt have too much money left but just the basics to start. i first ordered an HKS hi-power, replaced the stock boost gauge, changed the spark plugs, and took off the wing.

I soon got used to all that and wanted more. so, soon followed a k&n drop in filter, perrin intake hose, helix catless downpipe, and perrin uppipe. also a cusco turbo heat sheild.

Now once this storm clears out, im going to be getting the uppipe installed, going stage 2, and getting a new clutch. Thanks for looking and ill be updating this very soon!

ok, well finally after some time waiting, due to bad weather, me and huff(mostly huff) were able to install my perrin uppipe. i cant thank him enough. it sounds sooo mean now, and i can already feel a difference, even with a crappy clutch.

haha i kno i kno, i miss the L like crazy and wanted to do a swap but just didnt have the money.

thanks, i got the pulley cover from vivid racing. they were out of stock so i had to wait forever, but it was worth it.

hahah thanks bro, yea ive been working my ass off so i figured id treat myself to some new parts. and right now im just running off a flash done by ray at turboteck and then just going to get tuned once everything is on.

nah just the turbo. i already had the fuel pump and i got a good deal on injectors from troll.
