For the hell of it I was going around to car dealers and I found a 2002 corvette z06. It would be pretty much an even trade for the evo as far as $$$ goes. The z06 is even cheaper for insurance! This is a really hard to decide what to go with!

AWD is the only thing that stoped me from buying the vette that very minute. I just can't get my mind off of the Z06 though.

0-60 in 3.9 and 1/4 mile in 12.4, I'd go with the vette personally :)

I can't think about the power really. My evo is already faster than those times. Both of the cars have a lot of room to grow when it comes to power.

What is comes down to is that I am really bad at making decisions.

Well I feel, if you think you've gotten the most out of your evo as in power and fun factor, i'd go for the Corvette. But I will guarantee you'll miss the evo a lot. But both vehicles are sexy in my book.

The corvette will get around 20mpg too...but its ultimately ur decision. put those state dollars to work and just skip both and get a Viper :)

If I could find a 96-98 gts for a good price it would be mine.

if u go with the vette it probly will be more fun to drive but remember its only a 2 seater and u would lose having a back seat if u care for that

There was a Z06 sitting on the showroom floor at Cherry Hill Mitsubishi and I was contemplating the same thing. The fact that insurance is a little cheaper is very nice. I like the idea of a high powered rear wheel drive sports car, however, it’s a tough one because the Evo is so versatile (especially on days like today.)

The Evo has unique abilities and almost no super car can match that. The ability to rip through mountain roads in Pennsylvania (with dramatic elevation changes, gravel, and wet surfaces) is something a Corvette, Porsche, or Ferrari simply cannot do. In real world conditions they would all be blown away and could only pray to keep up.

However, I am on those types of roads only once a year perhaps. Most of my time is on 95, 476, or the turnpike. So I’m back to thinking about the Vette again… hmm.

What ever choice you make, you’d be trading one of the cars’ strong points for another. I guess it depends if you can live without the Evo’s capabilities.

For what it’s worth - my Evo is still in the driveway.

That is a tough decision. I personally would go for the Z06 also. It looks to me like you have another car with a back seat so thats not really a big deal. I have no idea what you have done to the evo or what it runs but I assure modding the Z06 is cheaper. I wouldn't doubt a good set of tires, intake, exhaust, and a tune would put you well into the 11s. My cousin use to have one and it just plained was sick. I also am not sure but I would think on dry payment the Vette would out handle the Evo, I could be wrong though. Either way it's a win win situation

if you have an everyday vehicle then teh Vette without a shadow of a doubt. Just my opinion.

The evo is my everyday car. That would make the vette my everyday car.

also the vette will get you higher MPG if you care about that due to the higher 6th gear

No - it's not.

Google earth Route 125 in PA and you'll see.

Or, take a ride up there. I know - it sounds pretty boastful, but a rally car (Evo/STi) is perfect on roads like that.

I dislike every vette with the exception of the c6, the interior on past vettes just don't cut it.

If you were thinking of getting a C6 Z06, I'd tell you to go for that. But since it's now I think you should keep the Evo.

I think stay with the evo, its an awesome car, AWD is like sex, without protection (lol) and nothing beats an Evo in looks. :D
