The wheels are Torque Thrust II's. 17 X 9.5 anything other then that you'd need to look up. They're not hard to find.

one of the cleanest taurus' around IMO and I hear from a retired ford guy that the one you have is one of the best sleepers to have.

the orignal 1 gen. sho put out better numbers, i know that cause i happen to work at a ford dealership... the v8's seems to be nothing but head aches after 40k unless babied, but then again who babies a ford!!! its like a honda civic si with out the reliability.... back to the car pics :lol:

it's never seen a track or anything, but it has a 350 under the hood w/ a brand new holly 650, auto tranny and stock rear. for the right price it's yours too. oh and btw the metro was a piece that was sold last year so i could get my cam'... i went from a 10 year old metro w/ 45,000 miles to a 16 year old camry w/ 138,000 miles, and it was by choice

hey aren't they comin out with an srt caliber? and if so why didnt you get that I heard it was going to have more power from the factory than the neon srt-4's

and what is the "right" price for the malibu I dont have much but I have a friend with a track malibu he uses as his DD and it's mean! so I might need something to giv him a run for his money.

$7k, ish... what year malibu is your friends? what kind of numbers does he run? before this malibu we (my dad and i) had a '79 which also had a 350, but it was a 3 speed paddle shift with a different rear, the guy we sold it too put on slicks and open headers and had it running mid 9's, completely gutted out, no cage.

My friends malibu is a '78 and as far as times I wouldn't know he hasn't taken it to the track yet he actually bought it from someone who raced it so he did none of the work. He's a fool and can hardly handle the thing It's gutted except for the front seats, all motor, no creature comforts, from what I can see it has a custom full exhaust and thats about it. I haven't seen it in a few months probably because of the winter but when I talk to him I'll let you know more about it.

None. That car was dirty as all hell when I took the pic. Saturns in dark colors look extremely clean from far away:

Otherwise, if I didn't live in an apartment complex, I'd do more research on washes and waxes. As it stands now, I use what I can, and usually go to a pay-to-use place on Bus1. No time for wax as of late. I might go get a detail by BHP soon just to make sure I don't make it TOO bad from not washing. I just don't have time to keep going out and washing it, cause this apartment has no outside spiggots, and bucket washing without a rinse is retarded.

Thanks, haha. Make sure you actually research what's done to it too. It's way more than looks, and the looks items are only there for modified purposes...rims cause they're about half the weight if not more than the steelies, tiint cause I have no A/C so I need it cooler in cab, and red calipers because rust is gay. :lol:

Hahaha, you should take a close look at the clear on my car. It's horrible. It only ever looks good in pictures.

I hate the factory paint job on this thing. Eventually I'm gonna get it painted black...I MIGHT go back to this color if I can get my front body realigned properly so everything fits. (got ripped off at 2am when someone pulled out of a bar and went across 5 lanes of traffic to hit me. I had JUST taken the bullseye off of it too...)

I grew up underneath 50/60's cars:thumbup: I still own a 1955 Pontiac Chieftain, fully restored, red/black 2 ton! Pics were lost on my last computer and I haven't seen this car in over 2 years. It is still being stored in a climate controled garage with classic plates and insurance.

I will be serious with you. In their day they were built good, but try restoring one once and the headaches never end! Me and pops would spend all our weekends and nights wrenching and going to swap meets/junkyards for parts to turn junkers into grade A cars.

What's diff now is there is no exhaust there (well,no exhaust period atm- a temp mod lol), I don't have the GTO crest badges (Holden ADM clear sidemarkers) and I have Holden wheel caps (35$ a cap nucca!)

Dunno. Right now im strapped for $ b/c the welder ****ed up and had to re-do it..I was so pissed off I just took it to another guy. lol, if it doesn't fit i'm going to burn the old welder's house down!

After the exhaust i'm working on suspension/weight reduction. I'm making a homebrew rear-seat delete, and I may freshen up the interior with some matte blue accents. We'll see. I need a new shift knob b/c I lowered the hurst knob to it's lowest setting; it's nice, but the h diagram is backwards lol.

And after that..I think i'm going to sprayit. But we'll see. Headers, cam, spray...mmmmhmmmm

I'm thinking of turboing mine when I get back to the states. I figure why not...the motors are cheap to rebuild, the trannies are cheap, and it'll be damn fast if it doesn't blow up.

Anyone around here have experience fabricating their own turbo kit on a carb'd v8?

I've seen it done on homemadeturbo.com quite a few times, and I've helped with a few turbo projects first-hand, so I guess it'll just take a lot of research and trial and error (just like any custom turbo project).

Your 01 Coupe is a domestic.

Domestic is a term that loosely defines cars of american builders. (Ford Motors, MOPAR, GM etc. Not Honda, Nissan, blah blah).

Actually, your 01 coupe is more domestic than a lot of newer cars. One of the only cars to be completely designed, and manufactured 100% in america with in-house engine and transmission designs, all in 1 factory. Nothing imported, funded by GM until the complete buyout in 03, general influence in the late 90's to crash the v6 LL0 varient before they could establish themselves as a seperate entity. Started in 1988 as an idea. :p
