Ok, so im in the process of looking for a second car (in addition to my Evo 9) and the NSX is def on my list.
Ive decided that id like to stay above model year 1997 so i get some revisions and the 6 speend trans. Obv, id like to score a nice 02+ for the fixed headlights but they tend to get pricey and money isnt unlimited.
Any feedback from owners/former owners/people who have knowledge of this car????? I have been a member of nsxprime.com for a few years so i am doing my due diligence over there as well but i thought id check with some more "local" people and see how ownership of an NSX has been in the Tri-State area.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!!! :)

Yea, they are kinda pricey, but when compared to other options they are no all that bad.
For 50k you can get a Porsche Cayman, E46 M3, Very Nice Supra, C6 Vette, and a few other cars. The NSX still has that "exotic" look that i cant live without! :D

mmmhhh NA2 NSX, I'd get one of those. They go for like 40kish for the 97's. But if you can swing for the 02 I'd say get that one in white and convert it to an NSX-R, it would be mad hot

That would be my DREAM man...but if you take the time to look around the pre-owned NSX market, for some reason, White NSX's are EXTREMELY rare and if you do stumble accross one, a lot of the time its an Automatic
Basically id take any color 02+ NSX if the car was in good shape and the price was right

Thank you! I wont make a move until May or June so now is just research time :-p
na1 vs na2
na1:
C30A smaller engine but has iron sleeves
cable throttle
5 speed with long ratios
na2:
C32B slightly larger but has the craptastic fiber sleeves
e-throttle
6 speed close ratio
bigger wheels
exhausts cost more
now then, my 2 cents: both look like a million bucks, however the early car seems to me better for tuning with the stronger block design. please remember also that the basic car never changed down the line and body panels freely interchange. oh, and i almost forgot, the nsx was designed with a 9-10 year lifespan in mind (most regular cars are built for 3-4) so even an older higher mileage nsx will still feel amazingly tight and new. hope you have small feet ;)

Thanks a lot Dave! I think ill be more interested in susp & cosmetic mods if i did go for an NSX so an 02+ would be where id look. Serious tuning (turbo, sc, etc) is not something i would get involved in...i just want a fun cruiser you know?
Anyways, thanks again for the info - i think the best thing to do is find one and drive it! That way ill really see how i like it.
:D
