Anybody have any first had experience with the FM Enforcer turbos for the SRT-4? I am interested in one because if it's easy installation and stealth looks.

I've heard good things about the E1 and E2 FM turbos. I have dealt with FM many times, in fact they might owe me a favor. I sold them my stock turbo and manifold for dirt cheap. Srtforums.com would have more technical info and personal accounts. Good luck.

hey, is this mike from the turbododge forums? I dont have any experience with their srt parts but their service is hit or miss. of course if you are who i think you are its likely you already knew that.

im Khajjathefang on td and tm btw

Thanks all. Yes this is Mike from Turbo-Mopar.com. Do I know you Dave?

I have had good luck with FM in the past. Just wanted to see if I could maybe drive a E1 equipped car before I spend the dough. It will be a bit pricier for me because i do not want to give up my core... just in case.

I'd like to run 12's while maintaining complete PCM control on my SRT-4. No return lines, no boost controllers, MAP clamps..etc. I have already run 13.20. I think the E1 would get me where I want to be.

Not in person no. Like I said i (occasionally) post on td & tm as Khajjathefang. i had been hoping to touch base with the local sdac chapter this summer, maybe get some first hand tips on where i was going wrong tuning the daytona. I got caught up in the troop surge though, so im stuck in iraq till july or so. maybe you'd recognise my daytona?

What are your current mods? Depending on mods you should be a 12 sec car on slicks already. The E1 will give you more power then the stock turbo, however to really get the full benefit of it you will need to turn up the boost. I plan on going with either the E1 or E2 at some point in time here, but more then likely it will be after this season

Currently the only mods are S2 and the Mopar catback. In the next couple weeks, I will have the Mopar downpipe on. I just purchased it.

When I had S1, I tried a couple different aftermarket wastegate actuators. None of them worked to my liking. Too much part-throttle boost. Made the car quicker for a few WOT blasts, but soon the computer caught on to what was going on and the party was over.

The best pass on slicks with the current setup was 13.20 @ 106, letting the computer do all the thinking. That was with a 1.79 60 ft time. I did find a boost leak since then, but, I'm not expecting a major improvement from that.

I have no desire to tune on this thing every time the weather changes 3 degrees, so MAP clamps are out of the question.

Another thing I would like about the Enforcer is perhaps shifting the boost threshold up a couple hundred RPM, perhaps get better milage in daily driving.

The guys at FM feel fairly certain that S2 runs so rich I would not need any fuel mods to run this turbo with computer controlled boost, but I do have a wideband to check for certain.

there was a recent discussion on this on srtsyndicate.com. thats about all i know on the subject, im pretty sure one of the guys is either running that turbo on knows someone who is. hope that helps

mike where are you launching at?

i was launching at 5k and running 12's at close to those trap speeds. im sure with a good 5500 rpm launch you can accomplish the same

I was probably launching at about 4k. But with a 1.79 60ft, I wasn't sure if there was more to gain from the launch. Perhaps there is.

yeah i was originally launching at that and seeing the same results, what i found was a little bogging was occuring. do 5500

With that 60' time you where lossing it in the top end. You said you found a boost leak right after your pass right? Running S2 on slicks should give you 12's no problem. Somehow I was able to pull a 13.3 stock on slicks with a 1.9 60' time

Yup, my PCV valve was wide open. I'm not talking about the minor factory leak either. I mean it was stuck open! I could blow thru it with no resistance. This was at Etown, which has always proven to be a slow track for me for some reason. Perhaps it has been a problem for me for a long time. Best I could ever do with slicks with S1 was 13.60.

Edit:
I just did a bit of backchecking on Turbo-Mopar.com because I knew I had posted my slip there. Here are the exact numbers.

R/T .017
60' 1.783
330' 5.384
1/8 8.395
mph 83.08
1000 11.005
1/4 13.203
mph 104.39

I guess that trap speed is a little more in line with my ET. I know I ran 106 on a pass that day, i guess just not that pass. I know the wind was kicking up as the day went on, and nobody that went that day ran as fast as they should have. This was the Mitsu vs WRX vs TD day in the fall. Head wind were steady 20-25mph.

Wait... lemme think of another excuse... Oh wait, I got it. I sent my VTEC out to get upgraded. Won't be back from Japan until the Spring.

like the others said it is very possible to run mid 12's with s2 and bolt on's. i ran a best of a 12.6 @108 with s2 controlling the boost. my other mods at the time were 3" o2 houding, tb exhaust, intake, and 55mm throttle body.

then later in the season, i added a forge wga, digital boost controller, big front mount ic, and rerouted my vac lines and i ran a best of a 12.2 @ 112. that was at mitsu/turbo dodge day last year.

i am still running high 10:1 low 11:1 air fuels on racegas so i have plenty of room for tuning. my goal is to hit 11.9 without tuning the fuel. i just got the ripp mods stock ported race exhaust manifold with an external wastegate. i am hoping this will even out my power curve and hold more boost to redline. i am confident that this will put me into the 11's with the stock turbo with no returnline, stock fuel pump, and no tuning computer
