Well I finally broke down and got myself somewhat of a newer car. My super-beater was just getting pretty old, and it was time to retire it for the time being. I came across this older guy selling a 2000 Regal GSE. He did not have the room anymore for the car, because his company gave him another car. Well of course the day i drove the car, the CEL light came on, so he basically said that if I worry about getting it fixed myself, he will let the car go for nothing. So we agreed and I bought the car. I took it to my buddies shop and did a full tune up on the car (one of the spark plug wires was bad causing the CEL). So after the full tune up, the car runs like new. I have to say the L67 is a pretty fun motor, and I love the SC. So far I have rotated the dog-bones 90* and installed a FWI. The funny thing about the car, before I was paying $960 a year for insurance, and now with the newer car it went down to $560 a year? I almost **** myself when I saw the new quotes. Well two weeks ago I am driving down one of the roads (a little faster then I should have) and a group of deer came out of no where. I missed the first one, nailed the second one, and the second one nailed itself into the third deer. So having the car only a few months, its already damaged. Even if it is damaged, it could have been worse. I can still drive the car, just looks "great". I am going to have to replace the hood, fender, bumper cover, head light, and lower door trim piece. I am doing it out of pocket, because of the cost I paid for the car, I didn't bother to get full coverage. Does anyone know of any 97-04 Regal's or Century's in any junkyards?. If not new GM parts are going to be pricey. I have heard mixed stories about buying after market body parts. Well the pictures are posted below. The day after I hit the deer.

Well i got two new GM head lights, and I missed a freaking auction by 5min for a brand new GM hood (still in the box). I contacted Al's and they said they are getting a a regal in sometime this week. So I hope it works out. I rather get all used or new GM parts, then after market.

That sucks, I had the same thing happen to me with the deer.

I wanted one of those regals but I couldn't find any with decent miles. They make a nice sleeper,

That sucks about the deer man, I hate those bastards. I've hit 3 at different points in my life so far. but honestly, apart from the headlights I wouldn't do a damn thing. It is called a beater for a reason. Imagine you were driving your real car.

Why not let insurance handle it? That's what you get it for.

L67 Series II Supercharged FTMFW!!!

Congrats man, you'll notice most of those L67 guys remove a headlight anyway for ram-air mods anyway lol (no, seriously, they do!)

Pulley and CAI, you'll have a quick sleeper, good luck!
