I have a code due to my header/high flow cat. Now if I were to just clear the code with a scanner and not reset the ecu, will the car pass emissions? Or does it have to be so many miles after a code is cleared. I thought it was only if the ecu was reset but that is why I am asking...Thanks

OBDII requires a number of miles to be racked up or it won't do the test. Sorry, but you might be **** out of luck.

Whenever I clear the code in my evo I have to put miles on it for the car to pass. Time to buy some anti-foulers.

dude, I have cel fixes here. not only that, if you clear the code and drive around in 3rd gear with your foot down on the brake and gas to hold the RPMs at 3k steady for about 45 seconds. The ECU should go through its readiness test sequence

There’s a specific drive cycle you have to put your car through after the codes have been cleared or the battery has become disconnected in order to se the readiness monitors. All but 1 monitor has to be set and it doesn’t matter which one. If you don’t fallow the drive cycle it was take a week or two to set enough monitors to pass.
