I haven't done it yet but I would like to know also the GF has an 03 Jetta and the way she drives I'll probably need to replace them soon...

I was all set to do it on my buddies car, got the wheels off, and it appeared to be an allen to me. I have both standard and metric and neither fit so we gave up. There was slush and ice falling on my head and I jsut didn't feel like dealing with it that day.

Is it maybe a torx?

ah yes I VW have the retarded torx heads...glad i saw this since i guess I'll need to go buy some...

Dosen't that suck...you go to work on a car and out of the gabillion tools you already oon...you need one that you don't have...LOL

another reason i love my honda...pretty much every bolt on the car is 10mm,12mm, or 14mm, then there are a few 8mm, 17mm, and 19mm but thats like it...so as long as you have a metric socket set and a few srcew drivers and can do anything...I digress

Thats kinda a bad thing when someone is trying to strip your car....

as Smokey said 7mm hex. Be careful with the pins, when reinstalling them, it's easy to jump a thread and strip them.

So has it been confirmed that it is truely a 7mm hex? Gonna reattempt his on Tuesday.
