CCP Autoshow

Okay so last year we started a car show at CCP in the west philly campus. It was a good turn out and was a lot of fun, but I want for it to be bigger and better this year with the help of my fellow TsT'ers. We are having a meeting today to discuss what we are doing exactly and hopefully wether or not it will be in the same location. When I get more info I hope that some of you guys would be interested in participating. All that I do know is that the show will be in April

so we are looking for any and all car performance shops, audio shops, etc. to sponsor the show. By this we mean offer a prize or something of the sort in return for free advertisement of your company or product or service. etc.

The show is free it's held by CCP and the students in the Auto tech Program so we need any help we can get.

Okay guys so the date for the show has been confirmed, it's April 19th with a rain date of the 20th. We are still looking for anyone we can get to come help us out. You can either be in the show or help us with some sponsor or giveaways or something like that. Thats a good idea. Oh and Trust me buckets don't matter. I drive one and most of the cars in the show are students cars. There will be other cars though, I hear some kid has a Rolls Royce he's bringing down, some old school stuff as well, we're just trying to get as many ppl as possible.

HAHA J/K last year was the first year so we had only a few prizes. I think the first was like a Mothers or Meguiar's gift basket with detailing supplies and stuff like that. This year we actually have trophies and we have different classes for them. oh and the show starts at twelve and roll in in is 11:00 basically though the earlier is better because you'll get to choose your spot.

Sorry guys that flyer is two months old. It did say it was the first draft but I apologize for not updating it. The show is on Thursday the 19th at noon at 48th and Market st. if this will be a problem because you already scheduled off it's okay just please let me know and I apologize for that again.

As for being at Main campus and not knowing I'm sorry about that, my guys were supposed to post flyers, but I guess they didn't make it down there. I will have to personally take them down there tommorrow after class and get some down there then. I do know that they are at the Northeast campus and the northwest campus because I put those up myself also there will be a mass e-mail sent to the school letting everyone who checks there e-mail know about the show.

Rush if that is your car as your avatar please bring that thing, even if you don't want to put it in the show. I don't know why you would'nt because most of the cars are going to be students' cars in the show, but hey it's up to you. I know my pOS is going to be in the show oh and tell your friends.

Aaah, so it's the 19th. I'm fine either way, as long as it's either Tuesday or Thursday -- both are free and clear for me.

And yeah, that is my car in my avatar. BUT it's winterized right now. Still, despite the random 70 degree days. That means no carbon fiber and no rims. It looks like ****, basically, haha. I'll be driving it there (obviously, it's the only car I own!), and if people wanna look, they can feel free -- but there's no point in entering when my MSP currently looks like crap. Not to mention that I have more engine bay goodies that're gonna be going in -- so the bay doesn't even look nice. Too bad the show couldn't have waited another couple months!

The hood and the grill are still in storage, yep. The stock hood and the stock front grill with the retarded 'Flying M' Mazda logo are on. I still have on the carbon fiber eyelids, sideview mirrors, trunk trim piece, and license plate surround .. but obviously, the whole effect is lost without the hood and grill combo'.

Eh, soon enough.

Oh I am it's just the paint that looks bad, my engine bay is almost lickable and my wheels are coming next week from a friend they might be on by the show I'm not sure though. Also my jaguar interior will be done by the summer Lol. Paint will be last because I wanna do some bodywork, shaving smoothing etc., and I don't like to ride around with primer like some guys do. So sounds are just about finished, interior almost, exterior summer.

Buuuuut .. due to my work schedule and the end of semester crunch starting, I only have so many days free per week now. I NEED to get my new brake setup put on my car, and while my car's in the shop, I'm also gonna try to have it inspected -- I can't afford to be without a car for two days, I'm just way too busy.

So since the only day I have free this week is Thursday .. I kinda didn't have much choice. I'll be dropping my car off at the shop at 7:30am, so just keep your fingers crossed that the brake work and inspection will be done by noon-ish.

Looks hopeless. 17th and 18th its gona rain, and if my car isnt prepped for the show, its not coming out. Damn good show! I took a lot of pictures, we had an exhaust sound off, a few exiting burnouts, nothing major though. Lets see this is the rundown, The rx8 won best Import, the Rolls Royce won Best of Show and a very clean Cadillac won best Domestic. I will post pictures as soon as I get done editing them. hey miller thanks for stopping by, and Alex sorry you couldn't make it man we were leaving as you were heading up here and I didn't want you to come for nothing I appreciate the effort though.
