Meh. I like most maps, but that's one most people are familliar with. Or the way overplayed dust and dust2, but honestly, I play em all. I'm trying to get the hang of Source, but honestly, the aiming sucks. I don't even have to try anymore. I just get headshots anymore.

My current. Springfield XD9.

My future. Kel-tec SU-16. Imagine if you had an AR15, but it didn't jam, and it was affordable.

No offense, but that thing is fugly.
Watch out, those barrels are known for getting way too hot even after 10 rounds.

Sorry to derail the thread a little bit, but where do you guys go to practice shooting? Anyone go to Ready Aim Fire in Bristol?

I go to Target World in Chalfont, PA. They are strict but have a nice indoor pistol range.

There is an outdoor range at the State game lands about two miles from my house. When I feel like going for a ride, i shoot up to scranton. My buddy who is a prison guard at Dallas State and I take his CJ up into the woods where they have a pseudo range set up. We usually break out the AK, SKS, and the M1 Carbine, along with an assortment of pistols, and the venerable .22 bolt action.

As for the gun being ugly, i suppose its the eye of the beholder. I kind of dig the look, though I may go for one of their newer generations, with a shorter barrell. This is the first I have heard of the barrels getting way hot, though I have only read three or so reviews. Got any suggestions for a fun <$500 rifle that isn't a .22 ?

A SGT in my squadron is a CO (for some reason they hate being called Prison Guards, ) at Dallas.

I wouldn't go for a shorter barrel since that will most likely effect the ballastics in a negative way, like the M1A SOCOM shorty. For $500 the market for new non-.22 rifles is pretty slim.

woah, small world. Mike Yurkey is my buddies name. He works 3rd shift usually.

Got a pic of the M1A? Expand the price range to 650-700ish, and what do you like? It will probably be a while before i get it, the next gun purchase is a .22 for cheap plinking on lazy summer afternoons. After that I'll get something a little more exciting. I shoudl probably get some Lasik first, as my eyes are terrible, specificly my right eye. I am right handed, but am forced to shoot with my left eye. I can shoot rifle fine with my left hand, but pistol is very tough. I usually end up shooting righty, coming across my body in a weird stance...
