Yes, it is. However, why not upgrade to at least a T-28 from an S14 SR? Ball bearing, and good for 300whp (more if you decide to push it). You would spend more money on rebuilding the T-25, and still have a turbo that is only good for roughly 250whp.

i was under the impression that a rebuild kit would only be like a hundred bucks.

You can find T-28's for $300 if you look hard enough. But unless you never plan on making more than roughly 250whp, go right ahead and rebuild!

You can rebuild it yourself but you have to be careful you dissasemble it and make sure you mark how the compressor wheel, haft and nut are because if you reassemble them ina different possition your turbo will be out of balance and I don't believe places with balance the turbo if they aren't rebuilding it or not for cheap...I'd say look at Blaast performance they are very knowledgeable and very affordable, located in Canada but even with shipping cost they ar cheaper than any local shops...I believe for a T25 basic rebuild it will be about $200 w/ shipping both ways which is probably half of what you'd pay anywhere else and unlike if you do it yourself they warent there work for like 3 or 6 months, e-mail them for details on that...

www.blaastperformance.com

look under services for rebuild prices...

No. You can run the stock MAF and injectors. A MAF doesn't know what turbo you have. All it sees is airflow. A MAF will reach it's given limit regardless if you have a T25 or GT30R.
