Just found this site today, and saw you have a meet on the 18th. I live only 15-20 minutes from the meet, so I think I'll be showing up. Looks like a cool site, hope to have alot of fun here, and maybe even learn a little, lol.
A little personal info....
I'm probably one of the few guys who actually bought a Cavalier to make it fast, instead of make it look like tacky crap. My goal is to break into the 12's with it this season. I've run a personal best of 13.303 with it so far, and I just got some more goodies to help me out, so I'll make sure to keep everyone posted. If I can't do it my next time out, I'll probably just gut the thing.

Um... AWESOME!
I always wanted to see nice built Cav. I love the ones from a few years ago that RK sport had in the catalogs.
Bring that thing to a meet one day. I want to see this.

Welcome. I had a 2000 Z24 but I lost interest in it. Good luck breaking into 12's.

Wow, you guys are just great! It's not often you can find a site that the people are actually nice, lol. I hope to meet a bunch of you at the meet on the 18th. As for the Cav, it's not much to look at. Still looks bone stock, even under the hood.

--I have a spec stage II clutch (because the stock one was slipping real bad, even with no juice),
--a K&N drop in filter,
--H&R springs,
--custom cat back exhaust TIG welded by myself and reduced to fit the stock muffler on,
--an exhaust cutout just before the muffler to uncork the system at the track,
--and BFG Drag radials.
I just got a stainless steel OBX header that I'll be putting on shortly, and a larger throttle body. I'm hoping that the combo of those two things, along with actually airing down the drag radials next time out, will get me into the 12's.

Well, here's some pics of my cars. The cav is the fast one at the moment, but it doesn't look like much. The '52 Chevy is the "cool one" right now, but it's in the middle of a motor swap, so it's not running :( And the goofy looking bastard by the '52 is me........

^^^^A pic of the cav before the lowering springs. Picture the car about 1.5 inches lower and you get the idea. Oh, and I now have the front filler panel that belongs in the bumper.

^^^^An underhood shot of the cav. Doesn't look like a low 13 second car, does it, lol.

^^^^A side view of the old one, although I just painted over the flame job with satin black, leaving just ghost flames. I kinda like it better because it's easier to keep nice that way.

yep, sure am. I like that forum for the entertainment, but it seems to lack a bit for info purposes. There's too many people who talk about things they don't know about there.
