Question about an engine swap

This summer I'll be looking for another project car, last year it was my Grand National, and this year I'd like to do something SR20DET. I've loved Datsuns all my life, my dad had (2) 240's, (1) 260 and (2) 280 Z's.

I'd like to know how involved it is to swap a SR20DET into one of these cars, preferebly a 80/81 280ZX 2+2. I know the cars are hard to find w/o rust, but besides that, is this a popular swap?

I'd appreciate any input on this, thanks people

We are gonna definitely do an SR is a 240z someday. We got so many projects going on right now, that this is gonna have to be on the back burner for a while though. But yes, it is a fairly common swap. Shouldn't be too bad just gotta modify the subframe to take the SR, driveshaft, wiring, etc.

yea i have to say, the 510's are super sicko IMO. I vote for that!

I agree with you both, the 510 is a nice little car to modify, but they are hard to find in worthwhile shape. Hmmm....I'll keep my eye out...thanks for the ideas :)
