Me vs. white MKIV Supra Turbo

So I was heading over to my gf's house lastnight and I am heading down I-95 into NJ and I get up to the Ewing exit and a white Supra Turbo comes onto I-95 with all I know of by looking at it is an aftermarket exhaust that is angled which seems to be the new fad with JDM's but anyways I catch up to him and drive next to him and I keep on looking at the guy but he doesn't pay me any attention so I hit it a little bit and jumped about 2-3 car lengths ahead and then I let off. Then he flies up next to me and rolls down his wind and yells you want to go on three honks? So I nodded and rolled up my windows and threw it in 2nd gear and we start from a 70 mph roll which is my cars sweet spot. So he starts to honk and he honks for a third time and I hit and and jumped about 2-3 car lengths ahead so I had him from 70-100 mph but once I hit 100 he went flying by me like I slammed on my brakes. I have never seen a car go flying fast me that fast while I was going as fast as I was. So if its anybody on here good race man and WTF do you have done to that thing!? I'm guessing either a nitrous setup or a big single turbo and I guess when I got him from the beginning the turbo hadn't spooled up yet. And one last thing about your car.....that was hot as hell that whenever you shifted that flame would pop out your exhaust. Nice car man :thumbup:

i think i know that guy....could you tell if he had mesh type bbs wheels?...if so he is pushing 750+ to the wheels and he has a t78 and the ntercooler nos.....

But its a 4 speed automatic and when manually shifting the gears you get a lot better performance out of the car instead of keeping it in D. But I slowed down to around 55 mph and tossed it out of D and put it in 2nd gear *2nd gear on my car tops out at 97 mph* But yeah I put him in there just in case he was part of the forum or if he came on here just so I can bust his balls :mrgreen: But his wheels looked like the stock wheels it didn't seem like a BBS style wheel. But if you know the guy ask him if he raced a Mark VIII yesterday if he did then tell him I said its one nice ass car!

He doesn't have nawzzz if it's the same one. Re-read what he wrote. a nitrous intercooler sprayer freezes the intercooler and chills the air more, not injecting nitrous into the engine. Granted, he might pull harder with the sprayer, but nowhere near like what a shot would do.

The automatic is such a dog from a dig. Easiest way to tell that is that I ran a 14.921 @ 96.75 mph. Nice trap speed and all but if the car was better off the line I could be in the mid to low 14's.

Hey I dunno what to tell you. Maybe I caught him with his pants down and he wasn't expecting my car to take off as quick as it does so maybe he didn't downshift or something who knows. But I beat him from 70-100 mph after that he was a blur as he passed me. I'm thinking back when me and LSHatch raced I don't think he was expecting my car to be as fast as it was since he couldn't get by me until I hit my speed limiter at 132 mph. But a lot of people don't expect much from my car and thats the main thing I love about it. Nobody expects it so it makes for one nice sleeper

you probably punched it before he was spooled up. turbo lag sucks. Every time I would race someone in my car they would pull away and I would have to catch up. And I was only running a 57Trim t3/t4. chances are that if he was in his boost cycle he would of ate you alive off the launch.

Not all of those body styles have the 2jz :(

Plus that, the second turbo is supposed to void that spoolup time. There were three possibilities, 2jz, 1jz, and N/A. No offense but I'm ruling out the 2jz.

haha yea ok ive seen that supra b4 he would smoke the balls off of ur mark VII the thing is tasty he prob wasnt even getting on it, ive seen that car walk all over modded 03 corba's runing 11's and 10's and i dont think ur mark VII runs high 11's or 10's. So i dont think it was that guy, and he kid u raced prob wasnt even a turboed car it was prob just the N/A 5 speed which doesnt really do to much compaird to the 2jz or even a 1jz
